Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

Why yes. Yes they are...
(have to stop doing that)
Most social stigmas are due to the demon known as "tradition". Tradition is something most people use as a substitute for actually thinking. Most make absolutely no sense in the cold light of day. For example, pour ketchup on your ice cream, and you are a raving lunatic. Put pineapple on your pizza, you are slightly weird. Put jam(or jelly) in your peanut butter and you are a normal member of society. In America that is. On this side of the pond, that combination justs SCREAMS "pregnant woman!".
Oh, and on the genetalia issue, I would like to say, on record, that the human penis is the ugliest thing in the universe. It looks like a severed, decaying, turkey neck.
The vagina on the other hand, is a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

What combination? tradition and sex? In fact which side of which pond are we talking here? I guessing it can't be the UK because A. tradition only exists in the minds of the daily mail readership, and b. We have birth control. c. Abortion is legal.

what is it? 4 weeks wages for an engagement ring,
7 weeks for a wedding ring?
what' that about?
The oft-quoted maxim in the US (oft-quoted, at least, by people trying to sell diamond rings) is that an engagement ring should reflect 2 months' salary. Hence the ad, "How else could two months' salary last forever?" Might be nice, but for everyone I know, two months salary is not at liberty to be invested in jewelry, and is needed for investment in things like food, and rent, and sometimes Sabre spoons.

I was refering to the combination of peanut butter and jelly. I assumed that was perfectly clear. This was meant to be a light-hearted joke. What I MEANT was that tradition often has us doing insane things like they were perfectly normal and vice versa. I merely used foodstuffs as an example. And by "this side of the pond" I refer to Ireland. Although I'm sure it covers Britain too.

I was refering to the cravings for unusual food pregnant women get. In my culture, peanut butter and jelly is a bizzare combination. Therefore, anyone over here who heard the phrase "peanut butter and jelly sandwich" would instantly think "Pregnant woman!" while in America no-one would think twice about it.
I no longer think this joke is funny. Nothing ever is, however, when it is analysed to death.
Seriously, I honestly thought this was crystal clear and very funny. Is there ANYONE out there who thought the same? I'm starting to think about changing my basic writing style.

Anyway, being at a private school, I would say girls get a lot better when you filter out the chavs. I would personally vote for girls over boys as the better socially, BUT (and this is a big but), boys nearly always have better spatial skills (see driving, parking, and anything involving things moving quickly) and better maths skills (from the book 'Why Men can't ask for directions and Women can't read maps'). Oh yes, and that book is VERY good, and frighteningly accurate.
