I've personally known only dorky older lesbians with lots of dogs and adopted children, while the gay men I've known are funny bitches who match their clothes and party all night. but that hardly qaulifies me to say the whole of male gays are better than the whole of female gays

so maybe it is a weak argument, but so is the argument that one sex is better than the other.

you know I've never actually known any boy to actually seek revenge for anything more complicated than 'he did frivilous x so I'm gonna beat his ass' whereas I have heard of girls in instances of 'he/she did subtle but outragous x so I hate him/her and am going to do nothing but think of horrible subtle ways to destroy them' so yeah you got me there

I'm not sure there actually is such a thing as lesbian culture. I couldn't tell you what it was, anyway.

In defense of my gender, I've got to say, I've had very few lasting, meaningful friendships with guys. Generally, they're people I can have fun with, but not the sort of people who will cry with you and help you through difficult emotional times, or have honest discussions about personal differences with without recourse to flat out formal logic type arguing about politics or religion.

Meaning men have been responsible for all genocide, political upheaval, and enslavement of other races and cultures throughout the entire course of human history.

I believe that would be several million points to the ladies.

Careless? CARELESS?!

So if a female is "overweight" it's because she's "careless"? There's no possible way it could be say, hormonal imbalances, or a slow metabolism, or genetics? And even if it is from something like over-eating, the possibility that it could be stress-related doesn't even bear consideration? Right, because things like puberty or suddenly being expected to conform to society's unrealistic standards of beauty and perfection never caused the least bit of stress or emotional turmoil in anybody. (God, don't even get me started on this...)

What about those girls who are so skinny you can see their skeleton? We've got plenty of them walking around. People encourage them to gain weight, but as soon as they're an ounce too big it becomes, "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Put down the cheeseburger, fatty! Somebody here needs to go on a diet."

And we have such a short supply of fat-assed guys, don't we? Why, I can't even remember the last time I saw a guy with his gut hanging three or four inches over his belt!

To be fair there are a lot of men slobs outside. If you remembered when I said about the boys sitting around on the wall all day whilst their girlfriends with prams do all the work.

Joke: The pencil I was using in maths today came without a sharpener and it was blunt but I found I could draw graphs and lines very straight without the scribble.

Yeah, I agree with Janey. I see far more fat boys/men than girls/women, and what's not fair is that it's a heck of a lot more socially acceptable for males to be fat (also for them to have acne). And it has nothing to do with carelessness 99% of the time - however, I do think that men, a lot of times, do gain weight for carelessness. *shrug*

Aaaand girls are better because they know how to keep things (and themselves) clean.

Adolescent boys don't tend to be overweight because they're too busy having ridiculous growth spurts and being bony. Adolescent girls, on the other hand, tend to put on weight. It has very little to do with how they take care of themselves.

Plus, people who complain about fat people piss me off, too. And although I can say we're generally a pretty touchy bunch, my guess is there's a reason.

Just to keep this sorta on topic, I think... erm... 15 points to girls for having the choral version of "Stopping By the Woods on a Snowy Evening" written for their voices. Because I like that song.

I found that quite funny.

Equally I have seen a fair share of fat ladies and men. Even the fat lady worker who told me to get out of her cake shop after my comment in response to them having no organic but yellow cream in all their cakes as the thing of the future.

As for overweight girls; I don't mind them, but I do tend to notice the supposedly "athletic" girls who look like they all shop at Motherhood Maternity. Bulgey, tulgey -- whatever you call them, they're fat.
