....not that I'm complaining - we have some very attractive forumers - I'm just pointing out another flaw in the original argument.
Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

if youre referring to the chelelf photo gallery, its understandable why there would be more guy photos than girl photos in it. after all, this is chefelf.com, a site for star wars nerds and geeks to bond together.
not saying there arent any girls out there that love star wars. but fan for fan, you will see that there are definetely more guy fans than girls.
and thats just star wars, i havent even mentioned harry potter, lord of the rings, or any other testosterone laden sci-fi/fantasy topic.
you would also see more guy pics thrown up on any sports related fan site as well. now, if it was avon, maybelliene, max factor, mac, anne klein, or dooney and burke, then that would signal a beacon for the ladies.

Do you know how many men
are interested in make-up.
A ton!
In many cases men wear more
make-up or use more product than women
In todays society of vanity, plastic surgery and
laser hair removal guys are catching up
if not taking over.
oh and i really do think there are
more female Harry Potter fans.
Im a part of that 'tweenager' age group and WAY
more of my girlfriends watch, read
and follow the hogwarts goings on.
But i see your point as far as sports and Star Wars.
Its A lot harder to get my girls interested
in hockey and the OT then it is the guys.

ok, im not talking about sweetcaked fruity guys,..im talking about your average meat & potatoes, saturday college football, beer guzzling, pool table shooting guy,..a guy that would only wear makeup if some hot chic kissed him and HER lipstick was imprinted on his cheek as a result.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe this statement for one second. If this were the case, we would be seeing A LOT more advertisements that were either gender neutral or male oriented for these make-ups or "products" that they use. The only guy commercials I ever see are for hair gel, razors, and those stupid faux women attracting body sprays/deoderants. And no, I don't think it would be some stupid closet thing where despite so many guys using makeup, none of them would admit it because it would challenge the stereotype of masculinity, because the industry would be putting out those gender-neutral commercials to make guys feel more comfortable with it.
Of course, maybe there are lots of advertisements in those silly male magazines (the ones like Redbook for dudes) that I haven't noticed. Well, and then there are those pathetic social cliques... But still, I'm pretty sure that you've grossly exaggerated your claim.
Edit: Fixed a broken quote tag I should have noticed when I posted this.

I rather look plain and not like a clown.
I remember someone getting angry at me when I commented on the dark blood coloured lipstick. I said she was missing the side teeth to one step away of becoming a vampire.
Those makeup adverts are annoying especially the time when they said "Because you are worth it." Maybe "Because you are worth a whole lot of chemicals?"

spiked-hair,carefully dyed and treated hair on
men for teens to 40 years is a big number.
Im not taking about emos or punks eiher but
average guys that drink beer
and watch the game at the local bar.
Ill admit on the scale make-up is near
the bottom but it happens.
My sis works at a medical clinic and she
says way more guys get work done
(ab implants etc) more than women
get lipo or breast augmentation.
So it would seem that guys
are gaining on women...
i stand by that

Yeah, what's that about?
Make up adds shouldn't say crap like: "Beacuse you're worth it."
they should say; "Because you're too ugly without it."

No way. I work on a sightseeing boat as a host during the summer and the tourist girls always ask for the weirdest mixtures of everyday drinks. Some of these still give me nightmares, such as the 50-50% mix of beer and Sprite. *shudder*
