QUOTE (barend @ Feb 23 2005, 04:25 PM)
there for, guys are better than girls, because we're nicer to them than they are to us.

That's utter nonsense. I have made dinner, ironed clothes, proofread articles, papers, and resumes for guys I know, complimented them on their eyes/clothes/general appearance/writing skills and given them directions, advice about girls, clothes and jobs. These are guys I know, by the way, not guys I was dating. I may be only one woman, but since the arguments on this thread seem to be rooted in personal observation, there you go. Women are JUST as nice to guys as guys are to girls.

I would say girls are better than boys because women, by and large, are not going to harass you in the street, try and grab your ass, touch your breasts, stick their tongue down your throat unasked, not going to say, "Hey baby, I know what I'd like to do to you tonight," when you're alone at night, and otherwise will not make you feel unsafe, harassed or in danger.

If you're having a bad day, a girl will give you a hug. If you're having a bad day, a boy will ask you if 1) you're having your period (girls) or 2) if you need to get laid (boys or girls).

Also: if boys want girls to stop being mad at them, they should stop being such asshats.

that's odd...
it's the fact that girls DON'T do those things is what annoys me...

And to feed the fire on Barend's behalf, I present you with this: Ladder theory.

that was incitefull and interesting.

i enjoyed it... i think its a little unfair on guys because it supports the 'when harry met sally theory' which i do not completeley agree with.
but considering the utter bashing women get... i'll keep my mouth shut.

it attacks both and admits there are exemptions.

either way.... thoroughly entertaining.

Well, it's obviously not very serious. And there is a great deal more to people than the sex instinct - At least there is to me...

I'd like to think I have a second ladder.

but, then, you are not ment to take it litterally.

---------------

either way, i think i'm a guy who tends to jump from the real ladder to the friends ladder alot. I start off with a chance, but then someone, (anyone), stepps in and i fall off but catch ladder 2 with my kung-fu grip.

Ouch, that's harsh, man. Just for the record, I'd sleep with you based on your wit alone if I was female. Many have felt the sting of what I've always dubbed the "Just Friends Zone." It's cruel, inhumane.

According to that theory I'd have a second ladder too, not based just on physical attractiveness.

I was really hoping that page would wake this poor thread up from its slumber, but I guess not...

Oh, that explains it.

The guys win for getting the last posts in. HA! We won, and yet it is a hollow victory...

Lets go watch some porn and then American football. Then we'll feel better.

In conclusion, Barend isn't satisfied with only one ladder, so he occasionally grips his friend's ladder in his kung-fu grip.

HIYO!

By the ladder theory, girls are better because they get two ladders. Surely they would win in a ladder duel.

True, but you women arn't strong enough to handle such a lofty object in just one hand each, while you fumble around with your two ladders we come in and finish the deal.
