QUOTE (barend @ Apr 6 2005, 11:12 PM)
and then today i bought RED DWARF VI... yeah, choke on that everybody!!! (mostly jane)

I'm all up to date with Seasons 1-6 now. There's a lot of good watchin' on those DVDs... decent special features and all. My ony problem with the special features is that you really need to be a fan to watch them. I tried watching them with Jen, who hadn't seen any Red Dwarf before and found that a lot of those stupid little specials in the first few DVDs were littered with scenes and clips that hadn't happened yet chronologically. It kinda ruins some of the better scenes and jokes.

Other than that, they're pretty good. Some of the special features are lame, but that's to be expected.

Three more episodes to go on the VI disc for me! Then it's the VERY patient wait until Seasons VII and VIII are released. wink.gif

You may be in possession of that, but I've obtain a copy of the only season of Captian Butler; Red dwarf but with pirates!

pirate.gif copy of course, so it's not really a purchase.

Got and watched yesterday "Ringu 2" It was good, quite scary, and the story was more convoluted and not so schematic as in Ringu 1.

I thought it was a nice dive into the nature of the curse, putting a nice period there with the new tape. I always felt sorry for the poor girl, she watched the tape and depended on the reporter to watch it so she could live on, and he never did. Killing her by simply not doing anything. Shameful.

Oh coughfuck... Sorry about that Janey, well, it's a minor sub plot spoiler if anything, if that makes you feel any better.

Two VHS's for the price of a handfull of skittles smile.gif

Lemme explain, I went down to the local pawn shop and they had a deal goning on with their candy machines. Its was "get a yellow skittle win a free VHS/CD", lucky me I got two banana flavors in one try.

The two movies I got were Motal Kombat the Animated Peice of Shit and Shaft

If your not familiar with the Mortal combat movie let me tell you that it's like the original movie except it's IN 3-D AND MORE XTREME than the last one.

Head cheerleader (Tagline 2-4-6-8 who do we decapitate), the convent (Nuns, guns, and gasoline) and Treasure island (purely for research purposes).

I'm suspecting that this might be a waste of £5

Finally picked up a copy of "Dawn Of The Dead" today, as well as the original "Amityville Horror". The remakes of both make me want to cry.
Also, I picked up "Muppets In Space" and "The Muppets Take Manhattan" the other day on VHS. MUPPETS!

Hey I have an excuse, I have to write a 2000 word report on how I spent my £50 research expenses. Apparently getting plastered on rum doesn't count.

Head cheerleader = passable trash movie.
Convent = Possible entry for best-worst film ever. Soo bad it's hilarious.

Human Traffic (had a $10 voucher so it cost my 5 smackers)
Dog Soldiers (which i hadn't even seen, but i figured WTF. if i pay to borrow it, i'll end up keeping it to long and paying about $13 in the end so i figured $13 was a fair price... I enjoyed it... it was pretty silly, but you can tell everyone had fun doing it... )
