I can't do it properly, I get too distracted by the horribleness and my mind wanders. Funny how I don't seem to have a problem MSTing movies I really like...

Which then makes them twice as entertaining. I'm thinking of finding the script to Pirates of the Caribbean and having a go at that sometime. Either way, I win!

Even though saying this will officially kill any chance I'd ever have of being hired as a professional critic for the New York Times, I want to say that I just rented 'Troy' and I thought it was teriffic! Also, the documentaries on the bonus disc were pretty interesting, they made me really appreciate the work that went into desiging and building the actual set of 'Troy.'

(Note: I never wanted to be a professional film critic, anyway.)

I don't think I liked Danger Mouse when I was a kid. Don't remember why.

Lucio Fulci's "Zombi 2: 25th anniversary edition". I can't get enough of those low budget gems!

I finally picked up "The Nightmare Before Christmas" on DVD. Seems stupid that I didn't already have it, and it was only $18 so what the hey. Now it won't seem as ridiculous when I get my Jack Skellington tattoo.

"Hey, you like that movie? Dude, I must've seen it, like, a million times!"
"Yeah, I don't actually own it, so...I never really get to watch it too often."
"Oh."

That would be awkward.
Anyway, it's great to actually own it now (being my favouritest movie of all time since I was about ten), and having some of Burton's old short films at my disposal is neat.

I seriously need to check that out. I don't think I've even seen it since...well, I don't know when it first came out, but I don't think I've seen it since then!

At least, not all of it.

At once.

I've been on a big Johnny Depp kick lately, so when I found a copy of The Astronaut's Wife for only $5.50, I scooped it up, despite the fact that I had never seen it or really heard anything about it before (my current thought process is "If it has Johnny Depp, it must be good!"). But hey, $5.50 is almost as much as it would cost just to rent it, so I figured "What the hell?" I've only had time to see it once since I bought it, and well, my mind wasn't exactly "clear" at the time, so I'm still not sure what to think about it...

How can one not know about the Nightmare Before Christmas, it's almost as bad as not knowing Gremlings!

Anyway, my recent DVD purchases: Spider-man 2, Old Boy, Shaun of the Dead, Spaced [Collectors Edition] and Sympathy for Mister Vengence. All but Spidey are in the mail on the way to my humble abode.

The BEST Burton film of all time is Edward Scissorhands, I don't care what anybody says.

I was going to get that one last time I was at the store, but they only had it in full-screen. Also, I remember hearing from a very young age that my father absolute loves the soundtrack for it, but it's only been over the past few years that I've actually been able to understand why.
