Ja. Greek mythology. Lion's body, man's head, snake's tail that can throw poison spines. I consider basic mythology to be 'common knowllege' and am shocked when people don't know it...I get shocked a lot.
Why do people not know basic mythology?

(Manticore tails don't always hurl spines - that's more prominent in modern games - also the christianised manticore was so unholy the ground seared beneath his feet... how trippy)
What's the coolest mythological creature for keeping as a pet?

I'd say Goddes Mother, personified as Freya, Brigit, Isis, Kybele and many others. She basically says sex is great. Completely opposite to Christian crap of "original sin", chastity, mortification of flesh etc, which makes several million of people unhappy/guilty about their sex life.
Why can't I even believe in her?
