There's some Christian sports channel me and my friend watched and it played "hip" hardcore christian music while "awesome" christian skaters did "cool" tricks such as, you know, skating and occasianlly making two of their wheels leave the ground or even four! If they suck that much without doing drugs I wonder how the real skaters can do ten times better after nights of hard partying, maybe they just worship the devil.

Back to the music though. The Christian hardcore heavy metal insanity is really just noise. Ever hear one of those bands who's all evil and worships the devil and yells nonsense in a deep voice? Same thing only replace "satan" with "god" and "blood" with "puppies" and "death" with "En nomine de patre"

On a serious note, I can't see how Christian black metal (for this is what we appear to be describing) can actually work. Black metal = burn the churches, and Christianity = save the churches. It must be a terrible moral dilemna...

Christians are lazy, that's why people don't get burnt at the stake?

Jordan- I don't think anyone has come out and said that Christianity is an inferior religion, or that its premises are unsound. It's not a matter of just being against Christianity either. As I pointed out in the Israeli Palestine debate, Do you really think we'd accept it if the Hindus or Budhists were singing death metal?

Chyld- OOOHM MUTHAFUCKA. ackhem, sorry. I meant that to be absurd, just as the idea of Christian rap is absurd. True rap is about the suffering and disenfranchisement of African Americans. Pop rap is about whores, hot tubs and lots of money. Christian rap is a failing effort by the church to seem "hip" and it is in that spirit that I mentioned the hot tub scene.

I just get confused since the term Christian is loosely used.

As a non-denomination Protestant I don't burn crosses or dream of another holy roman empire, I'm not a gun lobbyist, I don't want prayer forced on kids who will not take it too heart, and I'm a shitty christian.

The debate thread has opened up a ton of Religous threads. I don't think I'm religous. I think organized religons are spiritually dead and I wouldn't like being apart of them. The best churches are the really small ones. No politics~


Yet according to just about every member here, Christians are nothing less than psychopathic mad people. I don't get it! The Roman church murdered many, sure, but so did everybody else at that time. Death, war, supression is integrated within humanity. Everyone loves taking stabs at the Christian crimes. Why? Muslim guys are blowing the shit out of people and nobody talks about it. If you do, then some one will pipe up and point out that only a select few do that sort of thing, and the rest are nice. Yet it's common to generalize every christian as freaky convertors who once killed many people in europe and so forth.

Jordan- Yeah, nobody does much to stop those crazy muslims, noone notices 'em at all. Why something aught to be done!

And for the most part Christians were far less civilized than Muslims are today. For instance, most muslim countries have at least some degree of protection for women, if not full civil rights. Christianity did not. Muslims have never fought an unprovoked crucade against another religion. More than a slander against Christianity this is a defense for Islam. It's a young religion and if you look at what Christianity was doing at the age Islam's at you can see a very clear correlation so its not right to call them savages as some have.

As for the Christian bashing Christians are currently and undeniably on top of the world. They rule the US government and the US government rules the world. So be glad that you're a member of a massive and powerful religion whos only detractors are some crazy sarcastic kids on a forum. You could always end up joining a small cult in Texas and seeing how they treat THAT kind of religion. I believe pictures of it have been shown in this forum before.
