Although I have very little experience of it, I don't see what was so good about the first Halo. I played Blood Gulch for an arvo at a friends place, but didn't think much of it. Seemed like a dead average FPS to me. Golden Eye 007 is still the greatest FPS in my opinion(though I haven't yet played Doom 3, so I can't comment there). The best part of Halo is Red Vs. Blue, of which the 41st episode has just come out.

When it comesdown to it, HALO was amazing because it was simply so well done. Hmm, sounds odd. Let me explain.

I can't really think of too many problems with halo. It is a very ballanced multiplayer game, and the single player game managed a pretty good plot. It did a good job dealing with vehicles, and the level design was amazing, at least in the single-player game. I'll admit that some of the multiplayer arenas were prety damn uninspired. The graphics were nice, and the voice acting was also pretty damn amazing.

I'm looking forward to HALO II, but I don't have an X-box or know anyone who does, much less have thecash to buy a new game, so I'll have to wait.

I played it 3 weeks ago in french on a pirated version in a modded X-Box. It's a large improvement from the original, which was a solid "Meh plus 1" for me. They've thankfully added more weapons, better AI, and it's just cool being able to steal vehicles from the Covenant, graphics are much improved, giving Halo 2 a "Apretty pretty goood!" rating.

I like your rating system. How does it break down?
