I was perusing the web and fell into a J R R Tolkien merchandise page. They now sell the staffs of Saruman and Gandalf the white. As well as just about every other prop from the movie, including ones that were scarcely seen like Narnya Nenya and Vilya. They also sell all sorts of elven script covered junk. I read somewhere that Tolkien is the second most profitable dead person after Elvis. I think he deserves first place. Elvis shook his hips and died on the crapper. Tolkien smoked a pipe and gave birth to the most believable and well crafted world ever.

That said, I REALLY want Gandalf's staff. And I wouldn't mind one of those rings of power either.

I'd love to have my own ring... as you can probably tell from my avatar.

But I don't think we need lots of Elvish writing. Tolkien wasn't keen on it either when he found out that people were wasting their lives learning a language that nobody ever spoke in real life. He hated that.

Kli.org would probably make Tolkien cry.

I'd go so far as to say that if Tolkien were alive right now, he'd turn over in his grave.

the RingWraith Sword (Khamul, lt. of the nazgul)
Hadhafang (Elronds sword - in the prologue, carried also by Arwen)

Is it reforged or the shards? The shards are gonna be REAL valuable some day...

All in all, the swords are going to be worth a LOT in, say, 20 years, particularly if you have the early production run sets.

I make it a point not to have more weapons than I can equip. However I really want the three elven rings of power, and I also like Herugrim and the ringwraith blade a lot. Gandalf the Grey's staff would be cool but that's not out yet. In some stores they sell LOTR bows. I want one! My shortbow isn't all that great anyhow. Also the cloak clasps rock, especially Theoden's and Gandalf's

Ah so you have Narsil before it was reforged into Anduril. I wonder what the difference is. Also, this is yet another disturbing google ad.

"Gandalf for sale. aff Check out the deals now!"
