Does anyone have a great idea for a Halloween costume this year?

I'm going to be the Thinkkaman. All I need are white sunglasses, an orange sweat shirt, masking tape, and paper. Which I have.

Yeah... Shut up, kid!

Thanks for starting up this thread, Despondent. I had posed this same question a few weeks ago in the Pointless Random Thoughts forum.

My current idea is to go as Fast Food Nation. I plan to glue or tape a map of the United States to some poster board and adorn it with Big Mac and french fry containers and hang it around my neck. Hopefully it won't be too hard for folks to figure out what I'm supposed to be going as. Could be dumb, could be brilliant. I don't know.

How 'bout you? If I'm not mistaken, I think Sime suggested Thinkkaman too. I hope some folks post pics of their costumes. I love Halloween smile.gif

White shirt, nametag, cricket bat, and a little bit of red on you. Easiest "cool" costume of the year. And functional: Frankenstein always look silly tilting a pint, where with this getup, it's part of the show. Maybe bring your own mug.

Thanks for the ideas. Last time I dressed up with silver painted garbage bags. Homemade and vintage bumper stickers (and a "truth"-fish eating "darwin"-fish applique, given to me by my sister...). Didn't have any bugs. License plate, yes. (I was an automobile bumper.)

I don't have anything yet this year, yet.

I love the Shaun idea. Bit of red indeed. I've never done Halloween myself. I was brought up on the concept that it was an example of Americanisms invading our culture, and it was strictly forbidden.

Its only an Americanism commerically. It was originally a Pagan festival, spank me if I'm wrong.

I'm probably going to do Hallowe'en dressed as a hamster... disguised as me! biggrin.gif

I'm not going out trick or treating or anything, but for Halloween I'm dressing as Songstress Yuna from FFX-2.

I wish I could figure out a way to dress as a character from FF6. Edgar, Cyan, or the guy who threw that cards... Damn those 16 bit 32x16 pixel characters! Although maybe Cecil as a Dark Knight would be cool too... Still gonna be the Thnikkaman though.

Shaun costume: awesome.

I just got back my my dorm's Halloween party. I wore my usual costume, but this is the first year I experimented with eye-makeup, and considering my lack of experience and such, I think the death rings around my eyes and grey smears on my cheeks to make it seem like my cheekbones stick out looked damn fine indeed. Damn my lack of a camera!

To bad the party was a complete waste of time and energy, seeing as the music sucked, almost nobody dressed up, and only a few people even showed up. But hey, free candy!
Check out my crappy drawings!

Ha. Speaking of Halloween, I found an article about a city in Alabama.

"Florence Mayor Bobby Irons is encouraging his city's residents to celebrate Halloween on October 30 this year.

Also, in an attempt to ensure safety, the Florence Police Department will have an x-ray machine available to check candy on Saturday night. Parents will need to bring the candy to the Court Street side of the police station from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday."

Florence (AL) is a nice town I understand.

I'm probably settling on going as a Mercury astronaut. My other contending idea is a hotel room mini-bar.
