I cannot say just what I am creating. I can scarcely even offer a preview of it. I think that this project will contribute to a greater understanding of humanity and a much greater understanding of a popular and oft misunderstood author's work. Feel free to discuss and speculate, and especially to anticipate. It should be done within a week.

Sounds great. I especially like the 'epic' feel that you're going for. I really like the mystery and the er... lack of information... wink.gif

Wait a minute - maybe it's THAT story we worked on a while ago in the movie forum. ph34r.gif

Movie Goer- Despite the rumors flying this project has nothing to do with the Just Your Average Bare Hoffman production in the movie forums. Rather it is a comprehensive study and debate regarding one of the most famous comic artists of our time and of his work and its meaning. It is only about five percent done at the moment.

I could actually use some help on it but it would require the use of a messanger service such as aol or icq.

I refuse to comment as to whether or not Carrot top is involved. All I will say is that it is about ten percent done right now.

The crowds have become impossible to control. I must release my creation. By popular demand (ok, really just cuz Barend asked for it) here is me and Liz's dissertation on Pokey the Penguin comics 1-40 of 436

schuldigversteck: what's the name of the guy who does this? it would make it easier
ProjectV01: In Pokey episode one we see Pokey introducing himself to a herd of Penguins, some of whom have pieces missing. I think this symbolizes that we're all imperfect and that Pokey seems to be the only one with all his parts, thus pointing out that he seems to have something to offer
ProjectV01: I believe he goes either by "Havelka" or simply "The author"
schuldigversteck: ok
ProjectV01: We also see the italian ship coming to steal artic circle candy. Whad do you feel this represents?
ProjectV01: Fabulous! I agree, let's move on to episode two,
schuldigversteck: I feel this represents the hidden rock candy treasure early artic colonists hid shortley before they all froze to death. They had mistaken the candy for diamonds and hid it there, because their brains had frozen and they no longer had common sence.
ProjectV01: hmmm I was going to say that the candy was a metaphor for the soul but I think you might be right.
schuldigversteck: I like my version better
ProjectV01: Anyhow now we're faced with Pokey and what I assume to be an early version of the small child character being assailed by the hole in the ozone layer. Discuss
schuldigversteck: also I feel the penguins live in polyfiber boxes and it is not just bad editing.
ProjectV01: I think that the missing parts are symbolic but you're welcome to your opinion
schuldigversteck: fight to the death then?
ProjectV01: a duel at sunrise.
schuldigversteck: ah. I accept.
ProjectV01: you start to notice in episode two that Pokey always has an audience. I think this represents the author's desire to have people notice him. And the small child character especially seems to listen to Pokeys words of wisdom
schuldigversteck: I think Pokey is a pedifile, but seeing as how animals do not obey the law of man, he is forgiven.
ProjectV01: that's a very interesting point. Do you think God will be so forgiving? Perhaps God has placed the hole in the ozone there to punish pokey for what he does to small child.
schuldigversteck: perhapse. but then pokey would not have escaped and would have been fried penguin, which I hear is actually quite delicious, because no one can escape the wrath of god. unless you are a penguin god and the small children are sacrifices to the mightly pokey who rules with an iron fist
ProjectV01: so it's safe to determine that episode two is a poignant comment on child molestation by penguin divinities. Moving right along we come to episode 3, pokey in the bayou http://www.yellow5.c...ive/index3.html
ProjectV01: I think this is a comment by Havelka on protecting wet lands. In it we meet cajun chef Paul Prudhomme (the first guest star) but tragically for Pokey and small child, he disappears along with the cray fish. However I think it has a happy ending because all the penguins become aware of their duty to protect our disappearing swamps
schuldigversteck: yes!
ProjectV01: and so on to episode four
schuldigversteck: I feel this episode is depicts penguin's high sodium intake and how it eventually will destroy them all.
ProjectV01: interesting take. Why do you feel that way?
schuldigversteck: because immediatly after the small child askes for salt the other pannels are scribbled out, as if to say the salt is slowly killing them from the inside. or that the author is a lazy son of a bitch
ProjectV01: which is of course impossible as we can all clearly see the author's hard work. So yes, I suppose this could be both a comment on not eating salt and on preserving marsh lands
schuldigversteck: or yet another take on pokey's pedifileism
ProjectV01: I'm not really sure that Pokey would do that, I think comic two was more just a comment on sexual predation in general.
schuldigversteck: perhapse you're right.
ProjectV01: that shall be determined in our duel on the morrow. now let us move to episode 5
schuldigversteck: I agree
ProjectV01: this one is most interesting as it involves concepts of monarchy and birthday fun
ProjectV01: I'm also fairly certain that Pokey and his friend never actually reach the castle
schuldigversteck: pokey states how he loves snow. which is white. and then he makes a new "friend" who we will all assume is male. Then they proceed to a large castle which everyone knows were constructed to make up for their owner's lack of endowment. then they fly over the moat despite the fact penguins can't fly, and then the birthday cake where they are both in "birthday suits" namely, their tuxideos. then king george shows up with a pointy crown. All these clues come together to show that pokey is gay.
ProjectV01: You couldn't be more wrong if you had been beaten with a wrong stick! Pokey flies in a plane across the moat. You can tell by the windows. The castle is abandoned so it is obvious that they meet king george in the plane, not in the castle. Clearly this is about the budget given to the royal family of England and has nothing to do with homosexuality
schuldigversteck: but if you have ever met an englishman, it is sometimes hard to tell if they are gay or just british.
schuldigversteck: and why is the plain enterior grey with square windows? you are wrong!
ProjectV01: It's hard to tell if anyone's gay really, it's not as though they wear name tags. Perhaps this is some sort of Xmen-esque message about the gay registration act.
schuldigversteck: ahha, a good point indeed
ProjectV01: Ok fair enough, the windows should have been round. On to the next comic!
ProjectV01: you'll note the use of Deus Ex Machinus here, in Superman coming to the rescue. I think this is a clear cut statement against beurocracy.
schuldigversteck: I agree!
ProjectV01: very well on to ep7
ProjectV01: here pokey reveals that he fears not death, thus contrasting yet again with the weakness of small child. I think once again Havelka is showing himself to be some sort of Nietzchean Ubermench.
schuldigversteck: It is also showing he has no knowlege of basic science
ProjectV01: I disagree. He is very well learned for a penguin. And even in the absence of logical knowledge of science I think Pokey has a great deal of wisdom. Also we see here that Pokey and small child are able to make the best of a bad situation, which is a good moral
schuldigversteck: untill their lunch-in turns them into fried penguin
ProjectV01: but clearly that could not be because now we must deal with episode eight. Do you notice in this the interesting slant on the right wing's response to the immigration of hispanic immigrants as represented by Pokey's attack on the squirrel?
schuldigversteck: I just find it odd there is a squirrel in the artic. are we supposed to beleive this is some kind of super squirrel who can survive the horrible cold?
schuldigversteck: perhapse it was sent there by man to deplete the supply of artic candy so pokey and his friends would perish and they could build a condo there
ProjectV01: I think the point is that the squirrel came from the south, perhaps Mexico. Pokey and the small child are angry at the squirrel because they believe that "He's eating all our artic circle candy"
ProjectV01: however we once again see that there is a happy ending, despite Pokey murdering the squirrel
schuldigversteck: but WHY is the candy so important? perhapse it is the life force that keeps the penguins going and without it they will surely die
ProjectV01: I think you're on to something there
schuldigversteck: I think so too
ProjectV01: and so let's go to comic 9
schuldigversteck: lets
ProjectV01: this is apparently a haloween episode. I think the point of this episode is that Liz smells like after dinner mints. What is your opinion?
schuldigversteck: I feel that it is a horrible insult to holloween. "don't take candy from stragners" what happned to the holloweens of our generation where many were killed from poisoned popcorn balls and razorblades in apples? it made those of us who survived stronger, a thing I call "social darwinism" or "I hate everybody. " Also it says that Jarret smells of hot dog water.
ProjectV01: that's an excellent point and I think it could be perceived either way. And a kid who takes an apple as a haloween treat is pretty messed up anyhow, unless it has caramel on it. aside from the obvious message though we also see the reocurring theme of what I call the flawed audience as they praise Pokey. In this episode we're introduced to the element of the blue-scribbled penguin.
schuldigversteck: they seem to follow him like ignorant people follow jerry fawlel or however his name is spelt
ProjectV01: so perhaps Pokey is representative of some sort of messianic figure? Very interesting thought. And that brings us to comic 10
ProjectV01: I'll let you have hte summary for this one
schuldigversteck: In this episode Pokey seems to find his identical twin brother, despite the fact that all the penguins look alike. They then proceed to a diner where the "mystery penguin" finds his family, who speak with an italian accent. Coincidence? I think not. I feel the italians are stalking pokey, waiting for the moment when they are able to strike.
schuldigversteck: also that pokey is a red neck. who else would eat grits?
ProjectV01: this would certainly be in character with the Italians. Also it creates a feeling of dread and foreboding.
ProjectV01: Another excellent point. You'll notice the blue scribbled penguin's brother, green-scribbled penguin, makes an appearance here
schuldigversteck: ahha, it is a conspiricy!
ProjectV01: perhaps he is involved
schuldigversteck: perhapse
ProjectV01: and on to eleven
schuldigversteck: again we see the italian conspiricy! batman took pokey's sister/underaged lover to italy as a hostage
schuldigversteck: and now they will suck her dry of her artic candy
ProjectV01: interesting. Batman always was planning something and I think now we know what it was
schuldigversteck: indeed
ProjectV01: and once again the flawed audience is present, so we're starting to find recurring themes leading me to believe that you may have been right to see Pokey as a messiah
schuldigversteck: but these are the italian
schuldigversteck: who are the mortal enimy of pokey
schuldigversteck: enemy
ProjectV01: Hmmm good point. Perhaps the Italians are being likened to the romans
ProjectV01: yes, that makes perfect sense!
schuldigversteck: sure! lets go with that!
ProjectV01: what is an Italian if not the current term for Roman. And the Romans persecuted Jesus. Therefore Pokey is the messiah
schuldigversteck: I concur
ProjectV01: so in effect what we have here is "The passion of the Pokey" if you will. Let's continue to comic12
schuldigversteck: lets
ProjectV01: this comic introduces us to an alternative food source, mainly broccoli. It also shows us once more the green scribbled penguin from episode10
schuldigversteck: here I feel we have a Simpsons™ reference where broccoli is the deadliest plant in the world
schuldigversteck: it is a peice of anti-broccoli propaganda which I fully support!
ProjectV01: I think the broccoli is symbolic of Paternal control, and that, as small childa ges, she is showing her indepentence from her father figure. You also see that this troubles Pokey greatly and causes the next frame to be covered in green squiggles
schuldigversteck: which is representive of pokey turning into the penguin diety which is a half-penguin half tentacle monster being
ProjectV01: which I suppose might be sort of a satyrical thought on hentai, that is to say anime porn
schuldigversteck: I enjoy hentai.
ProjectV01: I enjoy nude photos of F Scott Fitzgerald
schuldigversteck: I beleive you.
ProjectV01: and that naturally brings us to episode thirteen: the nutty menace
schuldigversteck: yes
schuldigversteck: though, again, the theme of pointless violence is ran through to the end of the strip, ridding the world of the possesed snowman.
ProjectV01: here we are introduced to Mr. Nutty. We also see the black squiggle character's first appearance. I think this is the first episode where we see Pokey's teachings being put into effect by small child, when she pulls the gun on mr nutty
schuldigversteck: she has learned well
ProjectV01: yes!
ProjectV01: however snowmen cannot be slain by mortal weapons, so we must continue to comic 14
schuldigversteck: unless you count a hairdryer or blow torch
ProjectV01: no, they can be ressurected with Nestea®
schuldigversteck: ah, thias is true
schuldigversteck: this
ProjectV01: now, in comic 14 we see Pokey gaining a PHD in artic circle candy, with the flawed audience rejoicing once more
ProjectV01: I don't feel like talking about this so let's just say it's about the perils of working in the fast food industry and move on
schuldigversteck: so we see how money is only spent on usless things like homeland security but not important things like healthcare. what a potent political statement
schuldigversteck: noo mine is better
ProjectV01: Fast food!
schuldigversteck: no! it's political!
ProjectV01: It's about Mconalds!
schuldigversteck: it's about government spending!
ProjectV01: It's about grease burns!
schuldigversteck: it's about greed!
ProjectV01: let's just say it's about nuclear non-proliferation and go to comic 15
schuldigversteck: ok
schuldigversteck: this is obviously a refrence to George W Bush's defiance of the UN
ProjectV01: once again we see Pokey's ruthless nature coming out as he defies the UN and steals the small child's cheese
ProjectV01: I concur
schuldigversteck: then let us move on
ProjectV01: indeed, the primary summary of this one is yours to do
schuldigversteck: public trancepertation is smelly and the sun is a voyer.
schuldigversteck: and tentacle monster pokey returns
ProjectV01: once again Pokey cautions us about strangers and we see the green scribbled penguin. Perhaps it is this penguin in particular that pokey wishes to protect small child from
schuldigversteck: because he is a tentacle monster and she is in a school uniform
ProjectV01: there's also the rocket ship, symbolizing the green scribbled penguin's ambition
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: I think that this could be something not unlike Julius caesar, wherein the green scribbled one, or tentacle monster as you call him, represents Caesar (who was homely) the small child is Brutus and Pokey is Casca. In the final act we see a penguin with its eyes and bowels covered and the sun shining on the defeat of tyranny
schuldigversteck: Ceasar was also a theoried homosexual
ProjectV01: yet another link between pokey and the right wing. He appears to dislike the UN, immigrants, and gays. Perhaps Pokey himself is a comment on G W Bush believing hismelf to be some sort of chosen one.
schuldigversteck: I concur
ProjectV01: and so on to comic 17
schuldigversteck: the italians are attacking!
ProjectV01: tomatoes can be equated with tomato sauce, and thus with Italians. Once again though Pokey and his friends, or "disciples" if you wish to put it like that, make the best of the situation.
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: and so on to comic 18
schuldigversteck: you take this one
ProjectV01: well for one thing, we see the son of the green and blue scribbled penguins, green-blue scribbled penguin. We also notice Pokey traveling via some sort of magic boat to ancient scotland. Clearly this is a mockery of Arthurian legend.
schuldigversteck: or that penguins are not very learned
ProjectV01: I think the penguins start out ignorant but Pokey, as we've seen in previous comics, seems determined to bring them wisdom, once again pointing to his place as their saviour.
schuldigversteck: but he also feeds them false information, another reference to Geworge W Bush
schuldigversteck: I've given up on correcting my typoes. I refuse to fix them.
ProjectV01: even though the comic was started during hte Clinton era. Perhaps some sort of future sight was involved
schuldigversteck: the author is Ms Cleo!
ProjectV01: YES!
ProjectV01: and now we reach comic nineteen, nearly five percent done
ProjectV01: this one's all yours
schuldigversteck: it is a prediction that the romans, or italians, are comming and they are all doomed. also pokey's young aprentice seems to have developed pokey's massiah like oracle...ism.
ProjectV01: I agree. They are literally tearing down the old and archaic societal ideas of the roman/italians and are creating their own way of life in its place and clearly the Roman/italians are angry over this, One might also notice that the pillar roughly resembles a crucifix
schuldigversteck: ..no, it resembles a pillar.
ProjectV01: it could be perceived as a cross
schuldigversteck: only by those searching for meanings that arn't there
schuldigversteck: now on to comic 20!
ProjectV01: I shall set you abaze
schuldigversteck: do you not see how that is ironically funny?
ProjectV01: I do indeed
schuldigversteck: ok then.
schuldigversteck: just checking.
ProjectV01: yesh
schuldigversteck: so..on to 20?
ProjectV01: indeed
schuldigversteck: you take it
ProjectV01: I think this is an episode about why bad things happen to good people
schuldigversteck: or that the small penguin child is in danger of becomming diabetic
ProjectV01: indeed
ProjectV01: comic twenty one is most interesting because it deals with cyborgs
schuldigversteck: and murdering cyborgs posing as old women
ProjectV01: So in this comic we see Pokey-Jesus protecting human kind from the machines, much like Neo in the Matrix
schuldigversteck: yes
schuldigversteck: donnez moi le url!
ProjectV01: hark! we are on comic 22
ProjectV01: (Link: http://yellow5.com/p...ve/index22.html
schuldigversteck: I like yelling in french
ProjectV01: that could be the message of this comic but I doubt it
schuldigversteck: me too
schuldigversteck: I just watched a huge thing on the exercism that inspired The Exercist so I could go on and on about this one but...I'm not gonna
ProjectV01: well for one thing this comic introduces us to the boxing glove posessed by the devil. so thats something
schuldigversteck: I enjoy the 1960's Batman sound effects
ProjectV01: and the ending leaves it open for a sequel
schuldigversteck: I think the comic is a representation of the child penguin's resentment of pokey who is not only the messiah, as we have decided, but also molests her, so through her dreams she wished him harm
ProjectV01: kind of like a reverse Nightmare on Elm Street scenario
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: Alrighty, on to comic 23
schuldigversteck: I feel this comic represents how every person perceves reality diffrently. It is the same set of characters, but drawn by a diffrent person who makes them totally diffrent, stating that there is no one true reality
ProjectV01: a very interesting point of view. And I suppose that is what Pokey and Small Child refer to when they speak of learning a lesson
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: YES
ProjectV01: ok then moving right along
schuldigversteck: I am at a loss. you take it
ProjectV01: in this comic we meet Chicken Delicious, and see the recurence of blue scribbled penguin.
ProjectV01: I think this establishes Chicken Delicious as a bad role model for Pokey, and we can see that even Pokey can be led astray
schuldigversteck: but since he is the messiah maybe chicken delicious is a representation of satan leading him astray
ProjectV01: maybe you're a horse's butt.
ProjectV01: and on that thought, on to comic 25
schuldigversteck: you make me cry!
ProjectV01: There's no crying in Pokey reviewin
schuldigversteck: its my party and I can cry if I want to.
ProjectV01: that's right, cry for the apparent death of Chicken Delicious in comic 25
schuldigversteck: I'm sure he really was delicious
ProjectV01: I think that the inference that Small Child killed and roasted Chicken Delicious is used only for shock value
schuldigversteck: yes. and also to show that pokey is a bad influence upon her
ProjectV01: I don't really think so, she seems to have developed a lot of direction since Pokey took her under his wing-flipper
schuldigversteck: yes, but she kills people. though they are the annoying ones you would like to kill...more power to her!
ProjectV01: well yes but consider the message. Chicken Delicious was trying to get the messiah-Pokey and a small child to "Go to flavor country" clearly the message is "It's ok to eat people who sell cigarettes to kids" I think Hannibal Lecter would agree
schuldigversteck: As do I
ProjectV01: alright then, moving on to 26
schuldigversteck: oo this comic has French. I speak french as you can tell from when I yell at you
ProjectV01: well what is being said?
schuldigversteck: uuhh ground of our..something. the last word is not one I know
ProjectV01: only the french could make a word that is 80% vowels
schuldigversteck: you should try remembering how to conjigate french.
ProjectV01: well anyhow what we have here is clearly demonstrating once more Pokey's more human side as he is assailed by Headcheese and prays for the salvation of humanity, or rather of penguinanity
ProjectV01: we also see Mr Nutty come to their rescue using the boxing glove, perhaps suggesting that Lucifer dislikes Canadians also.
schuldigversteck: though, wasn't he killed in an earlier strip? does this mean snowmen have souls which would cause them to become ghosts?
ProjectV01: I don't think so. Pokey is the only character that dies as best as I can tell. And we already decided that snowmen can be ressurected using Nestea Kool, which cools you to the core
schuldigversteck: oh yes. I remember nowe
ProjectV01: and that brings us to comic 27
ProjectV01: once more we see Pokey leading Small Child out of a bad situation, much like Moses leading the Hebrews through the desert
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: Oh Gods yes!
schuldigversteck: ....yes.
ProjectV01: oh baby yes. And with that we go to comic 28
schuldigversteck: you scare me.
ProjectV01: Only on wednesdays
schuldigversteck: but its saturday
ProjectV01: make with the comic summary
schuldigversteck: umm
ProjectV01: I concur
schuldigversteck: yes.
ProjectV01: ok than moving to comic 29
schuldigversteck: it is pokey's birthday and he thinks everyone has forgotten but they haven't
schuldigversteck: noo
schuldigversteck: I'm getting it
ProjectV01: oh ok I thought Um was your summary
schuldigversteck: no
schuldigversteck: I was thinking
ProjectV01: right then, continue
schuldigversteck: now I lost my tarin of thought. all your fault, time to move on.
schuldigversteck: train
ProjectV01: this comic is a parody of all the surprise birthday parties that seem to only occur in the movies. We also see green scribbled penguin. In the end Small Child says "enjoy it while you can" perhaps as a portent of ill things to come
schuldigversteck: the virtual handshake seems to me like it could be turned into some erotic stimulation device. but then I think everything can be turned into and erotic stimulation device.
ProjectV01: what about a cactus?
schuldigversteck: again with the scaring of the liz.
ProjectV01: "The all new erotic stimulation cactus is only $19.95 and here to give a demonstration and tell us how it works is Christopher Walken!"
schuldigversteck: you. stop talking.
ProjectV01: as soon as we finish the reviews I'll chew out my own tongue!
schuldigversteck: ok then
ProjectV01: now in comic 29 we see Pokey once more leading his followers, this time into the darkness, into Cairo. It seems like this is once again a reference to Moses, but this time in reverse
schuldigversteck: moving on
schuldigversteck: well. I was going to say that
schuldigversteck: so moving on again
ProjectV01: ok then comic 30
schuldigversteck: ah. this one explains where pokey's violent side comes from
ProjectV01: indeed, a very interesting comment on the nature versus nurture theories of development, as well as one beating the crap out of people who leave you in holes
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: Onward!
schuldigversteck: I'm feeling that half of me wants to go on a rant about how witches are people too, but the other half of me just wants to go to sleep
ProjectV01: any people who can be killed by a rain cloud deserve death. Moreover I think she was a black witch and Pokey used his holy powers to kill her
schuldigversteck: this could be true
ProjectV01: now we go on to comic 32
schuldigversteck: again pokey has an audience
schuldigversteck: he sure is an attention whore
ProjectV01: as I've pointed out, this is the flawed audience
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: compared to Pokey who represents the full potential of penguin-kind
ProjectV01: once again though we see Pokey leading the Small Child out of trouble and making her into a hobo, which is apparently a good thing
schuldigversteck: hobos pay no taxes
ProjectV01: and neither do some religious sects. Most interesting
schuldigversteck: yes.
ProjectV01: qucikly! to ep33
schuldigversteck: swoosh!
schuldigversteck: in this ep pokey teaches mr nutty the errors of his way as only the penguin messaiah can
ProjectV01: I think in this comic we learn that Mr. Nutty is representative of a demon with his evil grin and his red hat, though Pokey manages to rebuke him]
schuldigversteck: but he has done good for them, so maybe he is just unlearned in the ways of goddlyness
schuldigversteck: goodlyness
ProjectV01: he was hanging out with the boxing glove posessed by the devil though, but I think you might be right. Pokey dispels his ignorance and redeems him in the eyes of God
schuldigversteck: yes
ProjectV01: and now that Pokey has saved Mr. Nutty's soul lets see what he does in 24
ProjectV01: 34 rather
schuldigversteck: ah, he seems to have given up his evil ways and now wants peace for him and his penguin brothers.
schuldigversteck: that they already had.
schuldigversteck: hooray!
ProjectV01: the key to living in peace is to live in peace. we learn a valuable lesson from this comic and its clear that Pokey's good will is spreading
schuldigversteck: indeed
ProjectV01: and lets see how far it will go in comic 35
schuldigversteck: I'm wondering if the more tired I get if my answers will become my sparatic. let us find out.
schuldigversteck: more
schuldigversteck: more sparatic
ProjectV01: sporatic you naughty ninny!
schuldigversteck: I've been up for more than 8 hours. shush.
ProjectV01: and on that thought we now see Pokey and Small Child surfing the Unternet
ProjectV01: I think we've all been up more than eight hours
schuldigversteck: I've been up for 14
schuldigversteck: but anyway
schuldigversteck: pokey likes porn!
schuldigversteck: which means his followers will not be denied of friverlous sex
ProjectV01: impressive. I don't think its so much that Pokey likes porn as that he's not ashamed of naked penguins
schuldigversteck: nooo
schuldigversteck: he likes it
schuldigversteck: even Sir Ian Mckellen likes porn
ProjectV01: well we certainly see enough nude penguins in this comic. And Mr. Nutty only wears a hat. Would you therefore consider Pokey to be Hentai?
schuldigversteck: not unless mr nutty becomes like the snowman my friends made last winter.
ProjectV01: Before you can corrupt my mind lets move to episode 36
schuldigversteck: awh.
schuldigverstek: 36 says that words do not need to be spoken for people to communicate
ProjectV01: episode thirty six has a meaning to me that is too deep and personal for me to speak of. Let's just leave it be while I go get a tissue
schuldigverstek: we don't beleive in tissues in my house. we're forced to use toilet paper or whatever's handy.
ProjectV01: use a pulp science fiction novel
schuldigverstek: I think my mom has some of those
ProjectV01: and I think I have a summary of comic 37. Its obvious which would be more interesting to read
schuldigverstek: ..okay
ProjectV01: this comic is very epic in scope. In it we see Pokey trying to save his brother, perhaps a reference to how Pokey views all people as his brothers and sisters.
schuldigverstek: but they betray him, but then he gets revenge and all is happy, yay!
ProjectV01: Yet another reference to Jesus, who in an chapter witheld for hte bible comes back and whales on Judas with a two-by-four
schuldigverstek: amen.
ProjectV01: the holy two by four of bethlehem. Hallowed be its name
ProjectV01: and speaking of which it's time for comic 38
schuldigverstek: that it is
ProjectV01: your turn, cleitus
schuldigverstek: this comic represents the horrible state that american education is in. I've met people who were like that. Really.
schuldigverstek: oh yeah. and mr nutty returns to his evil underage smoking inducing self
schuldigverstek: I am very tired!
ProjectV01: but Small Child knows better than to inhale cigars so its cute and not apauling
schuldigverstek: yeah, ok
ProjectV01: we shall leave off when we reach number 40, but that will be after comic 39
schuldigverstek: okay
ProjectV01: I think the message of this comic is that snow is cold and it makes you buy fruit and fall in love
schuldigverstek: plums look like tiny butts
ProjectV01: juicy
schuldigverstek: yes
ProjectV01: and finally in comic forty we see that Pokey has saved small child fro mthe weathermans nodules. Yay!
schuldigverstek: ep40 has a ghost penguin.
schuldigverstek: he is there but then he is not
ProjectV01: that is to represent... screw it
schuldigverstek: indeed

Ach! C'mon then if you read that incredibly large block of text there's also some funny stuff in there. I guess some people just don't love Pokey as much as we do...

I don't even know what Pokey is. I found the start amusing, but I had no idea what was going on, so I gave up, sorry.

This is Pokey! And Pokey means This!

Before 8BIT, before Penny Arcade, Befor company X and even before George Bush ruled the world, there was Pokey. Pokey sells action garments and Pokey propaghanda has been seen in every major US city. There is also a web community devoted to Pokey. It's a highly absurd comic that has so little effort put into it that it seems like it has had effort put into it to avoid putting effort into it. It's hard to explain but it is definately art.

Yeah, I don't have the effort to read all of that JM. I was hoping you were talking about Bill Watterson. I miss Calvin and Hobbes. They were funny when I was 9 and naive, and I've gone back through them recently, and saw all the stuff I missed as a wee one that my current wiser self did not. Bloody brilliant.

And your thing is probably pretty cool too.
