i don't about everywhere els but on australian tv we have a rating...
like MA15+ followed by sub-initials, such as N for nudity and DU for drug use, and so on (i particulary like when they spell out a silly word - it makes it fun when you come back from an add)...

i think they should be applied to cinema and DVD releases....

here's some i'd like to propose...

VIOLENCE CATIGORIES:
PT = torture (physical)
PsT = Torture (Psychological)
R = Rape
Ct = Castration
EB = Exposed Brain
D = disembowling
SET = Severe Eye Trauma
GCSTW = gratuitous camera shot through wound
PMM = Post mortem movement
PMH = post mortem humiliation
Cb = Cannibalism

SEX
FFN = full frontal nudity
MNNM = Male Nudity Never Mind...
NTFGTN = Not The Famous Girl That's Nude
OAPSONS = only a partial, side-on nipple shot
MS = money shot
PASD = possibly a stunt double
AWLCSDKTSWBSG = actress will later claim she didn't know the shot would be so gratuitous

DRUGS:
S = snortable
I = Injectable
C = combustable
SSOPODTYCTTKWA = some sort of pill or drink that you can tell the kids was aspirine
