Kids' Show Host Rapped for Saucy T-Shirt

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's media regulator has chastised a presenter on a BBC children's television program for wearing a T-shirt with a sexually suggestive slogan.

Dominic Wood, co-host of the BBC Saturday morning show "Dick and Dom in da bungalow," wore a shirt bearing the phrase "Morning Wood," a slang term for male arousal.

"On one level the slogan could be viewed as harmless, in that it was morning and the presenter's name was Wood," media regulator Ofcom said. "However it was also clear to some that the phrase had a sexual meaning."

The clothing of presenters on the show, which is aimed at 8- to 12-year-olds, will now be vetted in advance. Ofcom said it recognized that "for its core audience the double entendre was likely to be lost."

Any resident Britishers have any info on this guy? Sounds a lot cooler than Bozo.

Thanks to Jen (who continues to not be a Crappy News moderator) for this one!

Just think if he was showing woodpecker cartoons; "Morning Woody."

Or perhaps if he was showing old Warner Brother cartoons--"Sexy sex sex sex-having adult content NC-17 nude badness naked and more sex". Imagine the double-entendre potential!

Skimming through I thought "Dick and Dom in da Bungalow" was the racy term.

"Naked Nude Sex" would be a good shirt.

THOSE shirts. I can't say I really miss that about the late 80's early 90's.

Any and every size imagineable. I imagine they're harder to come by these days.

"Co-Ed Naked 'Co-Ed Naked' Shirt Buying: Trying to find an XXL!"

God, I hated those shirts. Almost as much as I hated those "100% [or "Absolute"] [insert ethnicity/religion/state of matter here]" that went on to give a paragraph-long description of all the stereotypes associated with that ethnicity/religion/state of matter.

There's a boy in my Biology class who has a shirt with the atom science symbol thing, and "Lab Partners Do It Periodically" above it. The last time he wore it, our teacher was walking down the rows of desks watching us take a test. She stopped, read his shirt, and nodded in approval. Then she continued walking a few more steps, stopped, and realized what his shirt really meant. She whispered something in his ear, and he left the room, returning a few minutes later with the shirt on inside-out.

I'll be the first to say that the "Do It" line of t-shirts are head & shoulders above the "Co-Ed Naked".

They usually have a clever play on words ("Musicians Duet Better") and are often in a format applied to bumperstickers rather than across beefy pre-beerbelly jock-chest.

back in 1994 when Maralyn Manson was half way listenable...
I had a 'God of Fuck' cap...

(damn, i just remember about me NIN hat which got run over by an ambulence sad.gif )

anyway...

'morning wood' would only be offensive if it had on the back: 'evening chub'

and even then for a show called "Dick and Dom in da bungalow"
WTF... the name of the show is practically euphamism for anal sex....
"Dick and conDOM in the bunghole"

------------------------------

anyway... if they think that's bad.

here in australia we had an early afternoon WB looney tunes show presented by a very sexy girl called Sophie-lee...

i think here general appearance made the show indecent (in best possible way)

but she was always making sly little remarks for the dads watching the show...

eg. they did the show at the snow for a week one winter...
and the friday ep before it she says:
"well next week i'll be rolling around in that white slippery stuff..."
*dramatic pause and saucy look*
"...the snow, I mean."

all i could say was BADANGO!!!

huh? yeah!

I remember somebody saying that there was some puppet show on here wherin the creator got bored and tried to make a puppet of a vagina. Needless to say, the ep was axed. Unfortunatly, the guy who told me this was an idiot, and I have no idea if it was true or not.

At first glance I thought the title for this article was "Kids' Show Host Raped For Saucy T-Shirt", to which I thought 'That's horrid!'. Then I realized my mistake. How silly.

So did I, I actually did a double take when I saw it.

Wow...that wicked look she's giving...it looks almost exactly like Jane in that shot (except for the hair and clothes). I wish I could draw that kind of position properly so you guys could see the resemblance for yourselves...it's downright spooky. ohmy.gif
