Apologies if you've all seen this already, I just spied it at the force.net and thought it was quite interesting.

George Lucas told Lesley Stahl that he didn’t care what critics had to say about “Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith,” the sixth and final installment in the series.

-sounds like he's confident that the next one's a stinker!!! tongue.gif

“They haven’t liked any of them really, and they especially haven’t like the last two, so hey, it can’t get any worse.”

George Lucas on Star Wars: Episode III
Source: Premiere April 12, 2005

"A lot of my life has been wrapped up in this one thing. I can walk away from this now 'cause I feel it's the best I could do ... this is the film that people want to see," says Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith director George Lucas of his blockbuster film, which is expected to be the highest-grossing and most anticipated film of the summer season.

Bullshit George. How many times have we heard this bastard say "I make movies my way, fuck the public, if they don't like it too bad, I make movies I want to see.." (to paraphrase...)

"this is the film people want to see.."

?

What an ass. People wanted to see "something" years ago dipshit, AND what makes you think we want to see this crap now?

George's film will be the biggest joke in the world. I can't wait.

I never thought I'd see the day in which someone uses Hollywood as their own personal storywriting board and shows it to the world with a 200 million dollar budget...

I think Lucas is forgetful - he forgot he didn't make Star Wars by his lonesome, he forgot what people liked about it, he forgot that people liked it, he also forgot to get the car washed on Saturday but that's another story.

The thing is, he's sticking it to the critics, the old-school fans, and the potential new fans (NONE OF WHOM DID HIM WRONG SO WHY IS HE BEING VINDICTIVE! oh I said the loud bit quiet and the quiet bit loud) by making crap movies. That'll show em... thats the scariest thing ever since the Judean People's Front Crack Suicide Squad.

I liked the articles. They made good points about what's wrong with the prequels and the destruction of Darth Vader's credibility. I cannot forgive Christensen though.

I'd like a qui-gon jinn please with an obi-wan to go.
