Wow. You weren't kidding. You HAVE been reading these posts for quite a while.

Yes, I always assumed Owen was Obi Wan's brother - I'm not sure why.... but they definitely had something going on between them in Star Wars.

EDIT - .... and in the damn prequels, Obi Wan hasn't even met Owen yet. Unbelievable.

I'm actually glad Lucas didn't go with the idea about Obi Wan being Owen's brother because that would just further compact the starwars universe. Also does it bother anyone else that Lucas has apparently made every Jedi in Star Wars of the same line?

Sidious apparently trained Yoda (or vice versa, I'm not certain)
Yoda trained Dooku
Dooku trained Qui Gon
Qui Gon trained Obi Wan
Obi Wan trained Anakin
Then Obi Wan and Yoda trained Luke.

I was fine with it in the original star wars because it wasnt that much of a coincidence but now it seems as though there are only ten people in this galaxy.

What? That's just plain dumb if it's true.

As for me... I'm sick of the whole: "Always two there are, the master and the apprentice." Why? I like it in certain respects but at the same time think it is kinda a dumb rule.

I dunno, but I watched some of TPM last night.

when Kiss' first drummer, "my apprentice" pops into transmission it's a pretty cool moment.

Jariten, are you reading this?

Of course, Duality proves the lame always two argument has it's glorious faillings.

I suppose Lucas didn't want to show his prequel hand at Jedi. but he lost his cards, lost his fans and, Oh the Maker, hopefully will lose his marbles. or go Martha Stewart (that would be a good thing.)

in retrospect... after all i've said on the issue...
perhaps it was just worded badly (yoda and english, best of friends, never were)...

perhaps he just ment that jedi rarley travel alone... and this redgoth probably has a master floating around...

again Jariten, i hope you appreciate that... that's as soft as i'm gonna get!!! tongue.gif

That was beautiful, Despondent.

And Barend, you may be right. Perhaps that was just Yoda's poor English causing a misunderstanding. I'm not sure what his first language is but his grammar is a lot like Japanese and Korean grammar (although Jariten will know a lot more about Japanese grammar than me). Yoda, what IS your native language?

actually. JYAMG, thats a good point about japanese grammer/yoda. if you did a dead literal translation of japanese to english, it would come out something like yoda-speak. yeah, never thought of that before.
