Did I give you my cell number? Call me sometime. You know Joe and I never get around to calling you because we're always on the phone with eachother.

Anyway, back to the hurricanes. It looks like Ivan might be at my back door by Tuesday. Category 5, still strengthening, and it's EATEN 56 people in the Carribean. Yeah, I'm scared.

Extremely dangerous Category 5 hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 160 mph as of 2 p.m. ET
Ivan is continuing its slow movement toward western Cuba and the Yucatan Channel
Hurricane Warnings now in effect for the Yucatan Peninsula, and Cuba
Tropical Storm Watch for the Florida Keys
All interests from Florida to central Gulf Coast should monitor Ivan closely
School is cancelled for the next 3 days. If you all don't hear from me, then I've had to evacuate. My parents said we might, if it continues to stay a category 5.

Got an email with this info, like you don't know already:
There are several practical preparations that you might
consider at this time:
1. Playground equipment and other loose pieces of outdoor furniture might be brought inside or otherwise secured.
2. Because of expected heavy rain, efforts should be taken immediately to see that gutters are cleaned out, thereby lessening the chances of overflow back into roof areas and down the walls of buildings. This should be done no later than Wednesday.
3. Make sure that all windows are closed and secured during the period when the storm will impace your area.
4. The loss of electricity may take place in some areas. Be aware of this, especially with regard to refrigeration and the storage of food items. Take whatever measures you might be able to do to lessen the spoilage of food.
Coming your way Amber-Nicole. Hope it takes a U-turn.
