Chefelf's physical location now matches his new site design: he is now officially a little elf in the big city of New York. He has been languishing without internet access since Tuesday morning--and will continue languishing until noon to 4 p.m., EST, (Time Warner willing)--so I just thought I'd reassue the world that, despite not posting for over 2 days (a new and terrible record!), he is still alive and well and, surrounded by boxes, living in the way uptown region of Manhattan.

New York is scary! I went there for a week last year. Too many cars, and loud noises, and people. Loud people. Despite that we are 10 years behind everyone else, in anything that matters, I kind of like it out here in the country. biggrin.gif

Okay, this is my first post from the city! Things are going well though Jen and I still have a lot of unpacking to do. Our Internet is having a strange problem and after plugging and unplugging every cable abous six hundred times I have figured it out... but it's weird.

Anyway, thanks for all the good wishes, everyone! smile.gif

Chef go eat the pizza from the sidewalk vendors. My sister said it was really good. I've longed to go to Pitsburgh, Chicago, and New York for the sole purpose of eating the food. Being a Chef, you must be excited, I've heard that in NY you can taste the best of the best from all parts of the world.

There certainly is a lot of varied and interesting food to choose from. Like most places in NYC there are about 50 restaurants within a 1/2 mile radius. I will be off shortly to sample some coffee from one of them.

It's good to see you're back online again. I have no idea when 4pm EST is, but I assume it must be past. Have fun unpacking tongue.gif

Of course it was good to meet you as well, mrtimp. I am only an email or IM away should you need me. And, obviously, if you are ever in the area stop by for some Xbox action. Halo 2 is just around the corner. smile.gif
