That could be because no one likes Chicago that much smile.gif

I actually did enjoy it a lot, thought all the leads did a terrific job, and the music is great, but I liked Moulin Rouge! a lot more.

It occured to me that my lists on this thread were a bit scattered - and I forgot M*A*S*H! One of my all-time favourite movies, and I forgot it. Unfortunately, it's probably not a movie I'll be able to watch a lot because of my Korean girlfriend. But maybe when I'm home alone.... cool.gif

Anyway, here is a list of about twenty or so films that really had an impact on me... listed in the wonderfully non-commital system of alphabetical order. smile.gif

About a Boy
Back to the Future (first movie only)
Batman
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Casablanca
Four White Feathers
The Full Monty
Groundhog Day
Hercules Returns
LA Confidential
The Lady Vanishes
The Life Of Brian (The Monty Python classic)
Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
M*A*S*H
The Princess Bride
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Sinbad - Legend of the Seven Seas
Star Wars
Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back
The Terminator (the original)
Two Hands

I've always thought that it was Edelweiss... But maybe I am wrong. But, gee, Barend, I'd've never though that you have this sentimental streak in your soul smile.gif

D&D was a film for which the sky was the limit... and they actually dug a ditch.

So true!!!

Dungeons & Dragons is a movie ripe with possibilities.

Heck the old Saturday morning cartoon was worth redoing as a live action movie.

Why in god's name they decided to go the "48 hours route" with this movie is beyond me. You know, black comic actor and straight white actor.

I mean for god sakes, consider the stories that have been published in the D & D world.

Talk about low balling!!!!!!!!! :yuck:

Any movie that can waste Jeremy Irons talent deserves to be burnt!!!! yell.gif

Jeez, lots of movie lovers...

I NEED to add The Road Warrior as my all- time favorite action movie, it's even better than Die Hard. I can't believe I forgot about Mad Max.
Shame on me.

Nah, horrible and mean is a compliment to us. smile.gif Actually, I think Australians on the whole tend to be a lot more honest and direct than people in other countries. And this is something that has sometimes got me into trouble in my Asian workplaces.
