It's fine that people are doing this, but it would make more sense to set up a Tripod site or something and do it there, rather than having three topics running with stuff like this on it. Having a website with the chapters, and a topic discussing them would make more sense.

that's a good point...
i'll try and set something up for mine...
but i still want to post them at least my one caomes in small chapters that take up little room...
as for starting it... i can't take the credit.
JYAMG started all this, and deserves the kudos...
the sad things is, for all the work we've been doing... we can't show them to anyone else... cause no one else would get them.

There've been problems with threads of this nature on other forums that I post on, where one or two people do something, and suddenly there are dozens of threads that are exactly the same. It's frustrating, especially for the moderators who are trying to keep things in line, but are also cautious of stamping all over people's fun.

I know it's a problem when the site has an upload function... i don't know how those guys do it...
but i would have thought, as the pix are all hosted elsewhere...
that the site would be clean...
afterall, aren't they only links? or does that create a prob. in itself...
and if so... maybe links to individuals sites should be restricted to profiles instead of sigs (not flipping this on you or anything... i only just noticed) other wise there are links on virtually every page.

The problem is load times, mostly. If you have a page with images the size of these on it two or three at a time, users (such as poor Slade) who use slower connections are the ones who suffer. It just makes it a pain to visit the forum, which is something that I don't like the thought of.

Oh goodness. Hush. Why not just put in topic description that this topic will have big pictures in it, or something? Is it really such an issue? Don't take everything so seriously, Hecc. I haven't seen anyone making complaints about this. Is it really such a big issue? On other threads, when people ask questions that you think are stupid, you make these mean sarcastic remarks to them. Maybe you meant alot of that stuff jokingly, but lately you come off as..well..mean. I still heart you, and sorry for the whining and all. Feel free to delete this if what I've said bothers you, I will admit that I'm just in a bitchy mood.

I haven't had any complaints apart from yours, Heccubus. But I will take onboard what you said about the load times and think about putting a website.
I might try out this "Photobucket" website of yours - and see what I can do.
Although Barend's right. No-one else would get a lot of the in-jokes in these things.

Despondent, please don't get discouraged by Heccubuss. I understand your point about load times, Heccubus, though. I use 64 kb/s connection at home, and for example JYAMG posts with SW remakes just don't show there at all. But otherwise it's so much fun to see these collages (especially when you are in it ) Thanks Despondent.
(BTW - do you know that for quite a long time I was wondering why exactly you have a picture of Sherlock Holmes for your avatar? )
