alright...

i've given you a couple days to watch the ROTK:EE...

i didn't want to spoil anything...

i have one last pic from the current 'to-do' batch to draw tonight for 'the last stand'...

so i'll be whoring out my computer to a friend to play games on in echange for intoxicants... (which will make it hard to draw, really)

but then.... you'll have your precious chapter 1... before this week is done...

so hold your breath and cook your popcorn, and ready your pop-cornholes in anticipation of THE RETURN OF THE KING...

QUOTE (J m HofMarN @ Nov 30 2004, 08:13 PM)
Also what's all this about Sauron having the white tree (telperion if I'm not mistaken) where is this written of and why do I not know of it?

oops i missed that... it's in the Silmarillion (and/or Unfinished Tales)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A shortened Encyclopedia reference:

When Sauron gained control of Númenor's government, he saw the White Tree as a link to his enemies the Valar, and ordered it destroyed. So the White Tree of Nûmenor was cut down and burned on the altar-fire of Sauron's temple.

Isildur had stolen a fruit from the Tree before it was lost. The fruit grew into a seedling that Isildur carried to Middle-earth with him after the Downfall of Númenor. That seedling was planted in Minas Ithil, and was destroyed before the end of the Second Age. Its seedling in turn grew into the first of the White Trees of Minas Tirith.

Hurrah! Back in style, Barend. You're off to a great start there. Great work composing Jariten into the shots and I know the others have said but... the ending is golden! Great work, mate. thumbsup.gif

Fabulous work Barend. I think I'm going to watch the EE at the sme pace with which you produce your masterpiece. I'll just stop the DVD at each point you stop and pick it up again when the next installment arrives. That should provide a sufficient amount of torture for myself.
