Definitely keep going! Jen has brought up an interesting point: maybe we should designate a special area for teh parody threads. It is difficult sometimes to sift through the other topics in other forums to find them.

I dunno... what does everyone (or anyone) think?

Yea, that would help out a lot. I always have to scan the titles in the Lobby to read this comic, and having it in its own little spot would help.

I really like this comic, but I hardly ever post 'congrats' or 'good job' because everyone beats me to it first...lol

That would have been great a while ago. Although, I think I've pretty much finished all of my little parodies now.

Maybe time for a new generation of parody authors to step up perhaps?

These things kick some serious ass, dude, to put in eloquently. HK-47 is the greatest video game character in my recent memory. His distaste for humanity rivals my own. In fact, I think I will start refering to people as meatbags. I'd like to see myself in the comic again, but I'll still read them if I'm not. They are hilarious!

Chef,

Oh creator, you are wise and wonderful. I am so grateful that you have given us a place to express ourselves. The fact that you care about how we would wish to express ourselves is yet another reason to glorify you. And the Father, of course. Leaders appreciate adoration and gratitude as much as the girl at the quick-E mart.

So, yeah. Another "screening room" for the parody threads would be nice. Those are my two copper coins.

Keep going! Although I don't always post, I definately read them all. Sometimes I'm bouncing around doing other stuff, and I only have time to read forum stuff, but not reply.

EXCELLENT!!!! It's back!

Loved Despondent the White. The effect looked very cool... and of course, having the Death Star smote the Balrog was awesome.

Barend, I for one am very glad that you haven't abandoned the project... and I assure you, you will get many more replies soon. smile.gif

Don't forget that little deal Madam Corvax offered you in another thread. cool.gif

i should also bring up the fact that Miranda Otto has done nude scenes...

which will make it easier to design my own bikinis...

(now you thought i was going to do something naughty didn't you...)?

Barend,

Excellent work. Love the little touches like HK-s hands, Death Star, rookie card, FLASHBACK. The gleam factor was amazing, and the glom factor is off the charts. (You're the Best!) One life left tongue.gif

Great Job.

Your Pal,
Despondent

That was great. I agree with JYAMG, the death star smoting the Balrog was ingenious, the despondent the white effect was great, and the AN line about MG at the end was great. I cracked up at arrow-proof armor.

Yeah, I did...

I heard about the nude photos of Miranda, but never had the courage to look at it.

So are you basically saying that the sacrifice of my bikini-principle did help to convince you to continue work? If so, good, just make sure it was worth it.

But perhaps Despondent the White can ressurect JYAMG?

Where can you get the autographed cards of Despondent the Grey? I am sure they will eb collector's items now.

Why do I think that there is Telly Savalas next to Peter Cushing in the flashback? Am I again missing some jokes here, Barend? Is he Radagast? Explain

Radagast the brown was one of the five Istari sent by the Valar to contest with Sauron. They last met during the final white council before they drove Sauron from the fortress of Dol Guldur and forced him to retake residence in Barad-Dur and reveal himself as the dark lord. By then it was too late.

Radagast chiefly resides near Mirkwood and he it was who brought Gandalf the message that Saruman wanted to talk to him (though Radagast knew not of Saruman's treachery) Gandalf asked Radagast to send Gweyheir windlord (the eagle) to Orthanc (Saruman's tower) to bare messages fro mhim. As it turned out the wind lord ended up baring Gandalf away from his captivity to Rohan where he got Shadowfax.

After this Radagast is never heard of again. He did not go into the West with the ring bearers so it is to be assumed that, like the two blue wizards (who are only spoken of in far more obscure Tolkienic lore) he remained on Middle Earth.

Bang up job mentioning Radagast, Barend. I see someone has done his reading. I'll be looking forward to more of your work.
