New Pepsi campaign will label its products with nutritional value
Sunday, August 1, 2004

PLANO, Texas - PepsiCo will launch a nationwide marketing campaign to focus more attention on the healthier treats in its massive product portfolio, the food and beverage giant said Thursday.

The move comes as food makers and restaurants have come under increased criticism for their role in contributing to the nation's expanding girth.

"Not everybody knows what the health benefits are of our products," he said. "In the food category, there are so many messages out there that the consumer is confused."

I heard something about Coke taking all of its products out of school canteens recently.

My doctor once told me that he couldn't believe that the law allows people to consume soda, that soda shouldn't be processed by the human body.

Of course, he also told me I had some "mystery liver disease" which turned out to be some blood count that 10% of the population has.

heh. My dad used to have a doctor like that. Diagnosed him with cancer and a number of other things, and told him he only had 2 years to live. And that was 8 years ago. All my dad has is acid reflux disease. blink.gif

Was sent to a podiatrist because my mom is a neurotic b.... lady and thought that I walked funny or somthing. He told us I needed to have my ankles broken and reset. Went to another doctor for x rays, and he was completely baffled when he was done taking them. He read the x rays and knew what he was supposed to look for and flat out said the podiatrist was full of it.
