It doesn't really matter much to me anymore. Once Episode III is out, and once I've watched every single movie again one last time, I'm going to hang up my collection for good and never watch them again... or maybe I would, right before I die.

I'm doing whatever I can to purge out the memories from my head... and replace them with worlds that I have created instead.

What do you plan to do?

Are you serious?

SEs are officially sanctioned Lucas films. Do you really think he'd go back? Calling these releases SE would just make new fans (since '97) question themselves: you mean there are other versions?

(don't look behind that screen. I am oz. or; the emporer has no clothes? Damn suit looks fine. shut up.)

Are we actually making fun of the cover art? What is this about? Oh lord, we need episode III.

I would have liked to see the original covers. Are they the originals, I woundn't know. Maybe one of the older more seasoned forum dwellers would know. Namely MIke Mac or Civillian

No, I like the art used. It's the (SE) contents that are the (plastic coated) crap.

the images on the discs appear to be the actual poster art of the original releases. (production art being used on the 4th disc.) And the cover art for the discs is nice too. And keeping in a similar look to Eps 1 & 2 is ok. (Personally I thought ep2's art was kinda weak.)

I'm just passin' info. There's just not a lot to talk about until we sees what we gets next May.

Precisely. This is the original trilogy now. With no digital versions of the original releases available they will simply fade away over time.

From the article:
QUOTE
The art printed on the disc themselves features poster art from the original theatrical release.

Excellent. How about instead we get the ACTUAL original theatrical release?

Also, keeping the cover art in line with the prequels means that if anyone does buy this DVD set, they will always be reminded that the prequels exist... every time they pick up a DVD case. That's just rubbing salt into an already painful wound....

... but this is special Lucasfilm salt which makes the wound get worse, rather than healing quicker.
