There's a ton of solid Canadian artists that deserve more attention:
  • Sloan (They opened for the Strokes, and STILL can't make it big anywhere outside of Canada!)
  • Buck 65 (hip hop)
  • K-Os (more hip hop)
  • Nomeansno (awesome experimental/post-punk stuff)
  • Alexisonfire (The new album is lacking, but the first one is downright fantastic)
  • Kid Koala (Scratch DJ who is a member of: Gorillaz, Deltron 3030, and opened for Radiohead)
  • Boy (singer/songwriter stuff)
  • Tangiers (garage/pop stuff, very fun)
  • Thrush Hermit (rock)
  • The Joel Plaskett Emergency (pop/rock)
  • Matthew Good (more singer/songwriter stuff)
  • Big Wreck (say what you will, these guys had some wicked songs)
  • Broken Social Scene (uhh...something...rock-ish)
  • Chris Isaak (one of the best male vocalists I've ever heard)
  • Hayden (MORE singer/songwriter stuff)
  • Neil Fucking Young

Just to name a few. Any others to add?

I can't think of any others besides what Hecc has mentioned. Possibly because i'm a dim-wit. BUT, canadian rock is a formidable... force.
