Not exactly sure. Maybe they were just too damn lazy to work with the immigration department to get you a work visa. Whatever the reason, they are dodgy bastards and it's never a good idea to work for dodgy bastards - they're liable to do anything.

Why pick America? We have one of the highest obesity rates in the world? I'd rather have a nice healthy organ than a failing fat covered one. (Well, any more fat than an organ is supposed to have covering it, of course)

I think it has something to do with the fact that they only needed me for 3-4 months. And most teachers only work for a minimum of 1 year. I'm not sure, maybe I was a cheaper price too. 2.2 million wan a month, which works out to like $2600 canadian.
