but getting back to the point... Stephen Ure said that there will be an extra gory version of LOTR... with extra scenes and stuff...

I just thought that was cool....

also John NOble said there was no scene shot of Denethors Palantir, so that's a little unfortunate, but oh well...

Gore is not the substance that makes good movies and too much of it can be just off-putting. I thought the movies as they stand did a very good job of getting the right balance of gritty and realistic but not too confrontational with graphic violence.

i just like the word gore...
he just said it was bloodier. that a film get's an R rating once blodd starts spraying or moving through the air in any fasion... more death. it will give the films a bit of an edge in the battle department. i think it'll work personally.

Nah, I wish I could have seen the Sand People kill Anakin. I wouldn't mind a bit of gore there....

And afterwards, we could have Obi Wan meet another guy called Anakin Skywalker. I figure that in a galaxy as large as that, there could be a few Anakin Skywalkers out there.

The next one would be Luke's father.

And the first one would dinner for the Sand People for the next week...

By the way, this new gory version of the Lord of the Rings... are they referring to the Extended Edition of Return of the King or a new edit of the whole trilogy?

Hey, I'm beginning to think that you and me are the only ones who bother to look at the Movie Theater Forum on a regular basis, Barend.

I'm starting a new series of posts called "Grill a Movie". I put my first one up today on Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.

I thought it might be fun to grill a new movie maybe once a week or so. So if you've got any movies of your own that you'd like to rake over the coals, it could be fun. Just write the name of the movie in the Topic Title section and in the Topic Description Section, write Grill a Movie.

You never know, it might catch on.
