Well in that case the younger Anakin makes even more since. Neither would have recognized Yoda at all (oh wait, Han was actually on Kashyyyk with Chewbacca, pifft) and they would have remembered Obi-Wan as his older self, but they would not have recognized the older Anakin. However, Leia had no doubt seen a likeness of her father when he was younger.

Have Sebatian Shaw as ghost, only digitally remove his hair (& eyebrows) and both his arms and legs. He'd be one of those "spud" cripples. And he'd be floating and glowing!

wow, great arguments on both sides! i dont know what to think. i like it the way it was, i like it the way it is. but i think i would also have liked to see ALL the jedi ever, like that prayer in the 13th warrior... lo, there do i see the line of my people stretching back to the beginning... or somthing like that.

Now, being reasonable one can presume that when Anakin went off to war his wife (secret though she may be) would keep a likeness of him around. And it is reasonable to presume that Organa and Obi-Wan divided up Padmé’s personal effects (I would guess that that trunk that Obi-wan kept Anakin’s lightsaber in, also had some of Padmé’s stuff in it). What was the precise nature of these images? Who can say, but R2 was there at the wedding, and may have also been there that time they went skinny dipping in the lake on Naboo, and afterwards he held her that way by the lake…..but they probably would not show that to the kids.
