Barend, I have to ask now: John Simm's Master - what did you think?
(taptaptaptap...taptaptaptap...)
As a 'human traffic' fan I was megachuffed.
noice wun bruvvah!
He disguarded the refined charm of Delgato (which was unfortunate) and had more of Ainsley's insanity. Derek Jacobi was fan-smegging-tastic though and right on the ball. But Simm's brought something awsome to it that I still thouroughly enjoyed... especially the tapping on the table. I think it a bit out of character to refuse to regenirate or at least join the doctor with an ulterior motive and plan to screw him over again. But to be honest by the time the watch came out in Utopia i was swepped the fuck away with exitement.
IT was also cool that they mentioned the Axons.

Because I was in the pit. Which is part of the drumline.
And I love Doctor Who.
So that means I would start singing, "HERE COME THE DRUMS, HERE COME THE DRUMS!" and doing the Master's drumbeat. Every. Ten. Minutes.
Or less.
So if I were still in band, one of three things would have happened by now. One, maybe only a few people would get the reference because those episodes haven't aired here in the states yet. Two, it would be accepted as a new joke and loads of people would be singing and tapping along. Or three, I would become so annoying about it, they would all gang up and beat me into a coma
So really, it's all for the best.
Also, Scifi Channel cutting SUCKS. They cut out so, SO MUCH! Bastards!

Right.
I was kind of dubious when it was first announced, but at this point, I am thoroughly convinced that Donna will be MADE OF AWESOME. She will be mouthy, she will be difficult, she will not fall in love with the Doctor, and she will not hesitate to give him a good slap when he gets annoying.
...At least, this is what I hope happens (no doubt RTD is going to try his best to screw up the third one). But still, I look back at The Runaway Bride, the Red Nose Day skit, the preview for series four...oh yeah. Donna's going to kick so much ass. I will take my companions rude and ginger, thank you!
Also, series two of Torchwood? Just take a look at this:
...Do I even need to say anything? You wouldn't hear me anyway - you'd be deaf by the time I got around to actual words.

Captain Jack is remarkably competent during Nine's run. Haven't seen any Torchwood yet, just the Institute itself right before it was founded.
