Hey, I was just discussing this with a friend of mine after reading the Star Wars novelizations.

Has anyone but me noticed that the REAL heroes of the rebellion, who ultimately bring about the downfall of the Empire, are R2D2 and C3PO? I mean think about it, not only do they get Luke involved, but they're crucial to the final battle in Return of the Jedi since C3PO is who ultimately convinces the Ewoks to join them.

So yea, great Sith Lord Darth Sidious was overthrown mostly by an inept droid his right-hand man built when he was a child. Palpatine must feel bad about that one.

Good point, the droids were a little to important, I never noticed it before. I didn't mind them so much in the OT, but after the PT I hate them all.
