I can't stress this enough. IGN, GAMESPOT, EGM, are all a bunch of hacks. Lucas Arts probably bought twice the advertising space from these companies to help bolster the reivew.

Given that I haven't played the second game and probably never will, I almost certainly won't be getting the third either. However, I have heard that they plan to address some of the plot points that the second game left unresolved.

Words can not explain the anger I felt. Anger leads to fear (of buying KOTOR 3) Fear leads to pain (of knowing what a great franchise it once was) Pain leads to suffering (I really want to play a good KOTOR, sadly, it probably will never happen)

Go on then, tell me. I've heard pretty much all the spoilers already, so it won't do any harm even in the unlikely event that I ever end up playing the game.

It's like "Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader". The setting and backstory is brilliant, and the first half of the game is utter gold. Sadly, the second half is a crap Diablo clone. As such, the game got crappy reviews and was generally overlooked. Sure, the end was dissapointing, but a lot of people missed out on the good things because of it.
Don't let the problems of the game completely overshadow its good points. It's still a solid game, played it a good engine. The use of skills was a lot better done then the first, there were less crashes(at least for me, anyway), the set up was good, and the engine that the game uses is brilliant. Sure, the influence thing could have been done better, and the end was disapointing, but I for one live in the hope that they will fix it for KotOR 3.

. . . . .
Yeah, thought so.
I will be beating it this afternoon, and I gotta say, I am now enjoying the HELL out of it. It was a little slow to start off, but once I got a lightsaber, it got better.
The original will always hold a special spot in my heart, but there are definately some good things to come out of Obsidian's work.
