Peh, slip them a note and they tell their friends and then your a laughing stock. I told one girl I liked her once and noone liked me. had to move. Also, no matter how subtle or how heart felt it is, they are still turned off.

sorry, i got you and mith mixed up for a second... no, if you're a guy and you tell a girl you like here, at school, you may as well show up in your pijamas.

barend - Good use of the word erroneous.

Women are subtle because they have more to lose. They feel things deeper, and so little things make them happy (I'm not talking about wimmins). Men are direct, so when a man makes an effort to communicate to a woman (again not a wimmins) in a way that would speak to her, it means a lot.

Edit: Mirithorn - Yeah, the skull/heart would get me too. blushing.gif

peh, you make it out to be that men have no feelings. most of the time, men only pretend to be tough because of "social standards", (i love those words) and it seems unright for them to feel. You cannot know if women feel deeper then men because you have not felt how it is to be both... wait, are you a feminist dorothy?

Actually, that hasn't been my experience... SO THERE!!! When a couple breaks up (most of the time) both parties suffer. It doesn't matter if the girl (or the guy) waits a week or a year. If you have invested your life into another person, only to have it come to nothing, then it hurts. And as far as I have seen, some of the ones who were hurt the worst are the one who rebound the fastest.

I like the way you put things. Men do have feelings, and I don't intend to underestimate them (let's face it, if men didn't feel things, we probably wouldn't be having this conversation...) but women feel things differently, and men are often able to distance themselves from certain aspects of their "feelings," while women feel things very strongly, and often can't seperate them.

Edit: Banned- nope, I'm not. I believe that women are entitled to certain rights as individuals, but not at the exclusion or destruction of someone else's rights. I think that Feminists killed chivalry, and I hates them for that...

I don't think there's much of an emotional component until at least age 13. I've seen younger kids break up and not seem to care.
