11/25/2002 Archived Entry: "Phone Tag"
Tag! I'm it. The receptionist got really sick today at work so I was acting as the receptionist for the afternoon. I say "was" but I mean "am". There's nothing to do. The phones just aren't ringing. There's nothing to do. Only having worked here for two months I am unaware of little tasks that could be done and since I am trapped at this desk having to be within hearing distance of the phone I have decided that my time would be best spent playing Snood.
It's kinda a boring thing to have the phone ring only once every half hour. Luckily if I am seated at a computer with web access and nothing to do I can quickly turn that into a winning combination. What better to do with my free time than catching up on all my web reading and updating my own site?
NotMyDesk has been both humorous and insightful as of late. I found the latest few entries to be rather uplifting. The one about porn wasn't as uplifting but was funny nonetheless.
I feel the warm stale breath of Christmas on the back of my neck. This holiday just gets more an more complicated every year.

I wanted to add, about Friday: Totally. Nothing EVER gets done on Friday. In fact, this afternoon at school we went to Seekonk Speedway and played arcade games. I won a pair of flaming dice for the windshield of my nonexistant car! On the way back we spent the entire time making "Ben's Mom" jokes.
So nothing got done.

Wow. My Friday sucked. The roads wern't plowed in the morning and it was still snowing; I have a Chinese dynasty project in history, and take a Microsoft Word quiz. Oh, I watched a science movie from 1978 and began writing my resume. MA is really bad when it's cold out, especially when you have to take the bus yet you're SO CLOSE to getting your LP. Have a nice weekend, (According to your work schedule, that's today, tomorrow, Sunday, and Monday).

An MS Word Quiz has to do with basically the formatting toolbar and tables. It's very boring if you know how to format, so I've just spent a semester doing nothing. Well, I know how to add headers and footers. Those are fun.
