You feel like a good Sci-fi opera, but you know George Lucas' Clone Wars Toons just aren't going to deliver. Check this out instead: Macross Frontier: Unashamedly Escapist Sci-fi opera. Some of these shows can be really deep and make you think. Not Macross Frontier: It's all about hot babes, hotter robots, handsome pilots and big space battles, but with characters more human than anything George Lucas has coughed up lately. I've only watched the first few episodes, but already I love it more than a million Phantom Menaces:



This series hasn't been licensed in the US, so you can get it from http://animesuki.com . Be warned though: If it is licensed they'll take it down to allow for a DVD release. Until then lots of versions to choose from. I recommend Shinsen-Subs. It's episodic so get 1, 2, 3, etc:

Definitely worth checking out if you're missing a good space opera but Mr Lucas leaves you cold.
