I found the specifications for that.
For the power cord do you mean power supply?
I'll post some of my old laptops later after I finish my work.

yes, that's it! and yes, I did mean the power supply.
I did manage to get a cord that on one end, plugs into where the laptop's power supply should plug into, and on the other end is like a largish circular plug that has five prongs inside of it arranged in a half-circle shape, it kind of looks like some sort of audio or MIDI cable?? it looks pretty useless, other than that it plugs into the laptop. Unless I can somehow attach it to a power supply....

Remember Emu's face, people; one day it's going to be on the news alongside a headline about blowing some landmark to smithereens, and then we can all sigh and say, "She was such a normal person".....
....We'd be lying though.

For the specifications of that I found this:
Then to find the right polarities. I don't know if the other output is fixed at another voltage between the range of 21 to 24 volts or maybe to charge the battery (as I saw in an older laptop.)
I don't think it is worth the risk if you cannot find out the exact pinouts or voltages:
(1) The risk of spending money on something that might not work?
(2) The risk of damaging (or damaging it further.)
I'll look around later but I dont think I'll find anything useful as from the first time round.
Gobbler, maybe you could find out some information about those pinouts considering you work for HP?

Toshiba T4900CT laptop:
Someone found it in a dump and sold it to me in 2001.
I was able to use a HP printer adapter to operate it which was 18 volts and precisely 1.7 amp hour.
I received some small 4 gigabyte drives in 2004 in someone's clearout which was wonderful compared to about a gigabyte in space.
The specification:
Pentium 75 (Not upgradeable as it is soldered on the board upon opening.)
Eight megabytes of memory
Chips and Technologies accelerator I think it might have been a megabyte.
Opl sound card
Display of 640*480 at 16 bit colour was good for me at the time.
