Regardless of what we got in RotS, I think if that rough outline got realised it would've been too much for me and most of the rest of the animal kingdom.
Good thing then, right?
Maybe holding true to the OT puts me in the minority of the animal kingdom. I'm fine with that.

It seems like everyone is over the nitpicking. Too bad.

ultimatley a chemical fire would have been more believable than a fight on a lava planet, it wouldn't have been any less exciting... i think we can all agree...

And perhaps in a Lex Luthor way, Anakin/Vader would have had a more valid point of contention against Obi Wan when he said "I HATE YOU!!!" whereas as things stand now, he really has no rationale for hating him and being justified in doing so because Obi Wan told him he was sounding like a delusional a-hole and even warned him he had the 'higher ground' thereby making what all unfolded and the state Vader found himself in entirely Anakin/Vader's fault, no one else's (OK, maybe the Emperor twisted a few things here and there but he was responsible for his own fate and has little right to have a grudge especially against Obi Wan. Me? If I have to confront someone on a lava planet, I'd fight it out in the control room to the end where it ws safe, the refridgerator area, landing platform, anywhere away from the stuff that negates any advantages you may have as a fighter.

i don't think obiwan was all that diplomatic either though...
(but i agree with your point, anakin was acting like a 13 year old)

conversations would have been different if i were his master;

Anakin: "If you're not with me you're against me."
Obiwan: "I've always been with you. When have I ever been against you?"
Anakin: "You were holding me back!"
Obiwan: "What? By making you a jedi instead of a slave mechanic? I took you under my wing" (walking over)
Anakin: "They didn't make me a master!"
Obiwan: (putting hand on his shoulder)"Oh, Anakin... they were only testing you, it was a trial... it's okay... everyone throws a hissy fit when their first invited."
Anakin: "What? Really? even you?"
Obiwan: "Especially me! I force-choked YArel Poof!"
Anakin: "Really?!?"
Obiwan: "No... not really" (snaps Anakin's neck) "Idiot."

Considering from what we see onscreen up to the point the Anakin-Vader/Obi Wan duel begins, I believe Obi Wan is way more lenient under the circumstances (especially since he, Anakin, and Yoda are the only remaining Jedi to that point as we're led to believe, I include Anakin because he could have turned back). Of all the people he's encountered and works with, Anakin/Vader has the least amont of greivance with Obu Wan. So he didn't get the title of Master, well, Obi Wan talked to him it with him and he seemed OK by it and agreed that in time he'd get it, sooner than later. He never approached Obi Wan about the relationship with Padme or the fact she was pregnant. If he did and said, "You've got to terminate that kid" you could see he had a point and turn against all he knew.

And another thing, Anakin's sitting there with Yoda early on and Yoda's taking stock of Anakin's thoughts and what disturbs him. Why in the hell couldn't Yoda pick up on all the things that were out of whack at that point, like Dooku's killing by Anakin in a vengeful manner, Padme saying she was pregnant, His relationship with Padme/attachment? Seems a rather monsterous omission.

I'd probably buy all that if he weren't the head Jedi honcho, if he were a #2 to someone higher up in the Council I'd say he held back his hunches about the Sith comeback because he didn't want to make an accusation that wasn't true or something like that, but if the most powerful Jedi can't perceive a darn thing especially if he's in front of him, then I'd be more pissed off at him and his hedgehog antics than Palpatine and Vader.

it was probably because no could understand anything yoda was saying...

you know... considering that anakin later conquored the galaxy... maybe they should have made him a masster.

If the formed an anarco-sydicalist commune, a lot of problems would have been avoided. Still, let's say Yoya's even the #2 most powerful Jedi in the Galaxy, he still couldn't sense something was up when Anakin comes to him regarding his disturbing thoughts, OK, maybe he couldn't see the Sith stuff, but something should have tipped him off that he was living and in a relationship with Padme contrary to the regulations.

there was a lot of things he could/should have done...

but it wasn't until arthritis kicked in that he learned to use his brain.

Similarly, Darth couldn't feel arthritis. So does he have menacing phantom limb pain?
