Reiner: You definitely win in the short term. That really sucks, and I hope things pick up for you soon.
David: There's a very large difference between being Emo and being wracked by pangs of existential angst. Just because I'm not always happy about the meaningless of my existence or attempts by western culture to perpetuate said meaningless, as well as actively refuse attempts to apply my own meaning (not forgetting well as my own resigned submission) doesn't mean I'm some suburban kid fashion victim who has cuts, has a bad dyed black haircut, wears girl pants and eyeliner, and listens to terrible music and holy crap this sentence is quite the run on, is it not? I also don't cry on stage whilst performing or whatever other definition you want to apply to the word. But yeah, by being derogatory toward people expressing discontent at the world, you're enforcing complacency and normalcy in regards to the whole thing.
Complaint: I ordered airline tickets for my girlfriend to visit me during my college graduation and I ordered them for the wrong day, so I had to cancel, which means I'm out an extra fifty dollars on top of the ridiculously outrageous airfare I will pay when I re-order the tickets soon. (But at least I'm only down the 50$, not the whole ticket price.)

Angst: I'm really torn. Half of me is super cheery, and the other half hates the cheery half. I have officially taped off half of my office, to separate myself.
Complaint: I bought My Sims and love it, but the stupid thing lags like there's no tomorrow. I hate laggings.

Complaint: My PC's sound card won’t work and this isn’t the previous one that wouldn’t work this is a new one that won’t work. WHY CANT IT JUST FUCKING WORK?
Sorry but if you were going through this you would understand, and I have that angst thing.

Slade: Very well said.
I see I'm not the only person who has ever been accused of being "emo" when I actually try to discuss emotion, existentialism, memory, the fleeting nature of time, all the things that keep weirdos like me awake at night. My sister especially used the word "emo" to shut down any attempts at meaningful conversation.
That was a very well-put response to people like her. Thank you.

I feel awful.
As long as you were tactful when you told her you shouldn't feel guilty, you wouldn't be doing her any favours by stringing her along.

Damn I've been caught; my plan to further confuse everyone has failed! Curses.
That and uni is giving me panic attacks what with essays and exams.
