And remembering Orson Scott Card's wholehearted recommendation from almost a year ago, I just, as in, a few hours ago, began The Name of the Wind by someone called Patrick Rothfuss. Being only one chapter in, I can't say much, other than that this is indeed, as OSC said, amazingly well-written for a first novel.

Got Earth (the book): A visitor's Guide to the Human Race for Christmas. It's awesome and I've already blitzed though it. Working on the crossword puzzle near the back. It's pretty tough.
