Topics I've Started

  1. Will you buy Star Wars Battle Front II?

    Posted 6 Nov 2005

I'd say SW BF is one of the best Star Wars simulations ever.
I have to admit I got mine yesterday.

It's harder than the first one.
  2. Darth Trump

    Posted 5 Nov 2005

Just when you thought things could not get any weirder...

Star Wars will be featured on Donald Trump's "The Apprentice" fairly soon.

Donald appreciates "Thinking Big" so he has a promotion around Star Wars for his Apprentice contestants to compete against each other for supremacy.

The episode airs on November 10th, 2005 or so.
  3. Obi Wan is not human

    Posted 3 Nov 2005

Obi Wan is not human. Here's why:

In episode 2 he jumps out of a hundred storey window with enough momentum to catch on to an assasin droid.

The droid tries to shake him by smashing him into a wall at an assumed speed of 60 miles an hour or what ever the Coruscant traffic speed limit is. He still hangs on.

He duels with Jango Fett later on and gets shot by Slave 1's cannons and walks away.

In Episode 3 he gets crushed by what looks like a few tonnes of metal and does not even mention it.

He gets shot off a cliff side while riding his giant lizard and falls what looks like half a mile landing in shallow water and he is OK.

He can walk and run in volcanic soil and lava flows and not ignite.

Under the weight of such evidence, what else can you conclude?

I submit that everytime the PT fails us is when we fail to suspend disbelief.

Whenever we say, "What the heck just happened?", GL spoiled the ride for us.
  4. Will you get Episode III on DVD?

    Posted 23 Oct 2005

Seeing as how we were all let down by Episode III in so many ways; will you actually buy the DVD to be released in November?

Here is my theory. We're all but guaranteed to buy it. George Lucas purposely put so many strange things into that movie that we are irresistibly compelled to want to listen to the Director's Commentary so that we can finally know what was going through his head when he conceptualized these weird ideas.

    What say you?
