THE ANSWER IS UNDERSTOOD ONLY IF LUCAS WENT WITH THE ORIGINAL TIME LINE...THAT IS ( AGAIN !~ ) 1 VADER AND LUKE FATHER ARE ALWAYS TWO SEPERATE PEOPLE...THIS BS IN EMPIRE WAS MADE UP AS HE (LUCAS) WENT ALONG...YES VADER "WAS" LUKE FATHER BUT IN NAME ONLY AFTER HE KILLED LUKES FATHER AND TOOK PADME AND THE OFFSPRING AS HIS OWN...PADME THINKING ANAKIN WAS KILLED IN COMBAT....WHEN PADME FINDS OUT THATS WHY SHE DIES OF A BROKEN HART...SHE LOVED THEM BOTH ANAKIN SEXUAL VADER PLATONIC...THE LOST OF BOTH WAS TOO MUCH...THEN DURING THE "REAL" FIGHT BETWEEN OBI-WAN AND VADER ( NOT ON THAT BS PLATFORM STUFF BUT IN AN AGED AND FALLING APART JEDI TEMPLE ) THIS WOULD HAVE CAME OUT DURING THE FIGHT AND VIA "KUNG-FU " LIKE FLASHBACKS...WHY VADER WAS SO CONVINCED THAT THE DARK SIDE WAS THE WAY TO GO....IF ONE SEARCHS ENOUGH ONE WILL FIND A TOTALLY DIFFERENT EXPLANATION ( PRE 1980 ) OF WHY VADER FELL...IF LUCAS WOULD HAVE WENT WITH THIS EVEN WITH THEM HORRIBLE EWOKES ROTJ COULD HAVE BEEN SAVED...BUT ALAS THIS WAS NOT TO BE...MAYBE IN A HUNDRED YEARS THE WHOLE SW SERIES CAN BE "RE-IMAGED"...AND DONE RIGHT....

i agree but then you wonder if the lucas of today is not the same as in the day 1977...maybe he is a clone or something....anyway you made a mention of the vader suit....if old multi-chin lucas kept to his original story ( like vader always being vader ect ) then you and all would know this...the jedi had ledgends...both of good and bad knights...the suit vadeR had was not just any old medical suit but the suit of amour of a DARK KNIGHT...A SITH DARK KNIGHT...be like prince william dressing up like a nazi of late...the nazi uniform has a universial recoginized appeal...so anakin was placed in a suit of amour that people both jedi and creatin would see as symbol of office power and might...a ledgandary dark knight...now comes to life and woe be anyone who messes with him or the empire....

has to be when dooku says hand me your swords....mmm i thought they were light sabres...light sabres are the wepon of a jedi knight...right not a sword...

like i said before i refuse to bend over and let old GL give it to me up the poop shoot...i still say that anakin skywaker was always anakin skywalker and that thur fate ect was strong with the force...darth vader was always vader and the two were the closest of friends in the future...anakin took a wife and she had twins vader was commited to the quest ( before turning ever to the dark side ) and stayed single...but took an oath to anakin he would care for padme and the twins should anakin fall in combat...in time vader fell and joined palpatine and killed anakin when he learned of the plot...it was made to look like anakin fell in battle...vader ( never ever screwing padme ) became a husband to her and STEP FATHER to the twins...in time at the jedi betryal padme learns of vader deciet and freaks out...she will die of two broken hearts...one for anakin ( sexual ) one for vader ( platonic ) she loved them both...vader and obi-wan fights and during that battle vader is made into a dark knight ect obi-wan flees with the twins and the rest is history...look anybody knows GL email....i can teach him a thing or two about good modern myth building stories....thats if he can put down the pizza...
