    I was just thinking that.

Not to mention potable drinking water, food, etc...

I never really thought about the fact that the whole planet is one giant metropolis. Damn that's dumb.

Maybe the planet has a coniferous core, so they just have to drill for air like we drill for oil.

So Anakin and Padme had not seen each other for a year and she's still pregnant? The bitch must have sleeping around then, cause Ani sure as hell ain't the daddy. Oh wait, it's another galaxy, therefore the gestation period must be longer. ermm.gif And how is the average viewer supposed to know that it's been a year since they last saw one another? Oh yeah, the Clone Wars series or some other lame extra-filmic source. blink.gif

But this still doesn't begin to explain how Anakin or any other non-blind/retarded person could not tell she was preggers--I hadn't seen the ho since she was sporting a pink wing and thong, and I could immediately tell that she had packed on some lbs. ... or kilos, or whatever silly unit of measurement they use for weight in that galaxy.

In the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan are rescuing Palpatine, after Obi-Wan runs up the stairs and slices a couple of droids, Lucas cuts away to a reaction shot Paplatine in which he says"Yeah!" It was really brief, but I thought it was so unnecessary and it pulled me out of the movie. All that was left was for Obi-Wan to turn to Palpatine and give him a thumbs up sign. thumbsup.gif

I cant agree with you. Have you ever had someone who is close to you die, especially unexpectedly

You' re FIRST response is disbelief, then maybe anger. Hell if Vader had mimed Luke's "That's not true, that's impossible" it would've been better. Vader first response should've been disbelief, especially consider Pappy had promised she wouldn't die
I think Vader did say something to that effect: "That can't be. I saw her. She was alive." The problem is it was done poorly by one-take-Lucas, just like the "noooooooooo" that followed it.

Vader's response was so over-the-top and ridiculous that for a second I thought I was watching a parody of Star Wars. If it makes you laugh rather than sympathize then it obviously doesn't work. There are better ways to show that someone is devastated than having them scream "Nooooooooooooo." That's the kind of response you would see in a play written by a 10 year old.
