Assuming you are for real and not a poser,

    My questions three are,

    1. What is your quest?
    2. Who is there?
    3. Where is the suffering?

Believe it or not, I actually liked a scene or two. As always, something pops up like a green shoot of life despite one's best efforts to weed out the gold.

It's the scene where Obi Wan cries out in anguish: You were the chosen one! He's just watched his pupil and best friend burn to the crisp after having crippled him for life in a death duel. He *has* to end Anakin's life, but he balks and makes a statement (to himself, God, Qui Gon?) to vent his rage as his resolve crumbles.

For a moment, the clouds of Mordor crack and we get a brief star of goodness.

Then its back to the ring quest.

Yes, I saw Geogre Crappanoida and his lame daughter mugging for the shot on the left. Yes, I saw the milennium falcon coming in for a landing at the space port on Coruscant.

What a turkey. Prepare for my Sith Mockery to reveal itself at last! Reasons to hate shall be released upon the Mace Windu Suckas of the world!

    Nooooooooooooooooo!

P.S. JMhoffaman, yes! Fight to the death! Do not give in to the propaganda of the dark side! The plot is ripe, to quote Gandalf.

Good point, chef. Hard to avoid the basics.

I've read the script and know pretty much what happens, just not *how* it happens. Timing and presentment. Even though I know it will be awful and unbearable, I want to see it so I can mock it more completely. Hard to mock it without a penalty to the "to hit" roll (easy as it is) if I haven't seen it. And I will be laughing at the slapstick hijinks, and the terrible dialogue, on a canvas of sheer technical brilliance. This *is* vaudeville. I won't see it again in the theater. My way of jacking Lucas is denying him the repeat offense to my wallet. Titanic made its money on the gals going back again and again to see the love unfold. We'll see how much repeat value this movie has with the rest of the populace, fans with bullets to spare not included.

Lucas keeps telling himself and anyone who will listen how "independent" he is of Holywood. Yet he consistently refuses to make movies that challenge assumptions or break new ground.

I find his PT movies show a lot of Puritan influence, being devoid of any realistic signs of vice or human clutter, with a fascination for control of the masses. That sounds like a closet conservative to me.

As for cashing in on 9/11 changes for the worse, well everybody is doing that. He could just be trying something to evoke a response - it doesn't have to be indicative of his views, keep that in mind. It could just be amateurish moviemaking.
