  1. In Topic: Nightmare I had which I believe to be influenced by these games...

I distinctly remember having a dream right after finishing 7DAS. (The fact that I can remember this is not surprising - I can still remember one dream I had at 5!)
In it, I was lying in bed, and the Welder entered my bedroom and started doing the thing where he advances very slowly, but at a speed calculated to make you wet yourself. Anyway, I reached into the bedside table and grabbed the pistol and shot him squarely in the glass part of his visor (My aim is good, considering I've never fired a gun before, except once or twice in Wyoming).
He bled badly and went on his knees. For some reason, I walked over towards him. He shoved me back and, still on his knees, stabbed me.
The weird thing is, this was almost exactly the same psition in TN, whereTrilby's on the floor and the Prince kneels down to kill him. But, as I said, this was straight after 7 Days, way before the making of Trilby's Notes.
    Foreshadowy.
  2. In Topic: XDays Series and how you think it should end. (Spoilers)

Or perhaps something like the adventures of Roderick DeFoe, exploring, safariing, etc. Whatever.
  3. In Topic: Scariest moments in the XDAS games

5 Days A Stranger scared me a lot, especially in the bathrrom scene. Truth is, when I saw that AJ had died, I thought the game would be a murder mystery. *slaps head*.
Apart from the bathroom, I didn't see anything that really frightened me.

7 Days was gory and William's bedroom was both surprising and horrifying. But the Welder chase scenes were definitely the most surprising and scary bits.

Trilby's Notes= Any bit in the dark world, especially in the first instance, where it suddenly flashes into it and you have no idea what to do with all the corpses. I could almost smell the rotting flesh.

6 Days wasn't scary in comparison to the others, proably because the exposure to the first three nullified my fear receptors. I didn't find the Prince as scary as I thought I would. Janine's transformation was surprising, but not terribly chilling.

The scariest, as everyone knows, was Trilby's Notes.

I also think that the games should be in their original order.
You'll have more surprises and shocks and it just seems to fit that way.
If you play it chronologically, it takes a lot of tension out of it.
Admittedly, it also takes out the confusion, but I think the confusion is good.
Trying to figure everything out and getting your own perspective really feels good once you have everything sorted out and in itself, it is a part of playing the series.
  5. In Topic: Best XDAS game

I'd have to say Trilby's Notes, 5DAS in second place.
5DAS was an easy game to follow, had some mild shock value and it had good puzzles.
7DAS' puzzles were very good, but I think the plot relied a bit too much on gore/scares.
Trilby' s Notes set an amazing atmosphere, was incredibly scary, had good puzzles and the plotline was really intriguing (Chzo/Tall Man was a good idea.)
6DAS was good. I liked the puzzles and I liked the confined area. It had good plot and both raised and cleared many questions. Many aspects were very unexpected. I rank it 3rd.
