Chefelf.com Night Life: Stongbah - Viewing Profile

Has anyone else played it? I bought it on Gamecube for $40 US ($10 cheaper than normal) a few days ago and the Gamecube version has Shao Kahn and Goro as selectable characters. It's got some pretty deep combat, with each character having two normal fighting styles and a style with a weapon. The combos are kind of hard to do, as you have to press all the buttons in the sequence quickly and not in real time (don't know if that makes sense.) The main flaw is the stupid Konquest mode, where you play as some loser and train as all the characters while collecting stuff and running through N64 quality environments. You need to play through konquest mode and then do more once you finish to unlock everything, which sucks. I haven't had a chance to play 2-player yet but I'm sure it's pretty good. There's also puzzle kombat, which is like Puzzle Fighter 2, and then chess kombat which is like chess but instead of being able to think ahead and use logic, all you have to do is be good at Mortal Kombat. They're both ok as mini-games, but don't get much play time. I reccomend it.

I remember reading something about it a few monthes ago and then later seeing some screen shots. I saw the commercial yesterday and it looks pretty boss. I was wondering if anyone's played it and to explain. I really wanna know what it has to do with Goldeneye or Goldeneye 007.

In the midst of all the hype surrounding the DVD changes, I realized there are quite a few changes that would work, and I'm sure I'm not alone. Here's what I've come up with:

-The lightsabers in the first movie do look pretty crappy and could use refurbrishing, especially in the Obi Wan/Vader duel.

-It would be cool for the cantina scene to be restored in full, with Han Solo sitting with the slut.

-Put the speeder sequences back how they were, or fix up the CGI.

-Fix the huge matte lines on the rancor, I never understood why those couldn't be edited out.

I'm sure I'm not the only one curious in what people are reading. Right now I'm reading Jurrasic Park and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
