In Topic: Best XDAS game

The best overall game in the series I feel is 5 Days a Stranger. It has the simplest plot (easiest to follow from beginning to end) and has a beginning and ending in and of itself. So I suppose for me, 5 Days a Stranger is the game that had the best overall story to it. However, Trilby's Notes was definately the most atmospheric of the four and I really loved the text based interface which was implimented very well. I had a very hard time following the story from Trilby's Notes onward but in terms of gameplay, TN was the best. 7 Days a Skeptic felt more like the movie Jason X, it had elements of the first game and was almost as fun if it hadn't been for that annoying birthday based puzzle. To wrap it all up, the latest game just didn't do it for me. I mean, sure it was a fun game. But it didn't offer anything "new" in terms of scares. I was also hoping it would make the overall story clearer and not muddled with billions of possible interpretations. Although, I did like the music in the latest game. Well, that's my opinion. Take it or leave it. -

Yeah, although I've finished all four games and enjoyed them, 5 Days a Stranger is the only game in the series that I felt was "complete" in and of itself. I don't know if I'm just dense or what, but I found this game even more confusing than the last one. Plus it was hardly scary considering you couldn't die, nor did you care for the crippled man you were playing. Good game, don't get me wrong. I just didn't get the same vibe I got from the first. -

Don't forget the Teletubby cameo telling you to hurt everyone.
