Part of me is convinced that Hideo Kojima is purposefully making each successive Metal Gear game more and more completely bonkers because he was forced into it and decided he might as well have some fun and see if he could make the game so crazy people would stop buying it. But Metal Gear Solid 3 was pretty tame compared to MGS2; I mean, it only had raging homoeroticism and a man who shot bees out of a grenade launcher. So I guess that theory doesn't really pan out.

I don't know about the rest of you, but my brain does shut down whenever I hear a loud, high-pitched noise. It's why I hate children and a lot of other women.

I managed to get through it, but I agree that they seem to have made the censorship bleeps more annoying than usual. Perhaps they hoped to make up for the shock value of the profanity by replacing it with sheer ear-piercing agony.

Also, I found the choice of words to be censored somewhat bizarre. I suppose you could make an (unconvincing) argument that "bitch" has a perfectly legitimate use as a reference to a female dog and therefore should not count as a swear word, but censoring "twat"? I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm American and we tend to use British words all wrong, but I always considered "twat" to register on the profanity scale next to "heck", "goshdarn" and "bullfeathers."

The bandages are to hide the fact that it's clearly The Rock from the Mummy Returns, right?

In all seriousness it looks intriguing, if a pain in the ass to animate; however, I can't tell if it's the pink background or whatnot throwing off my perception but some of the colors look pretty bright and chipper for what I assume to be an ancient horror from a dead civilization. The lion's paws in particular kinda remind me of happy face buttons. It's probably the pink...

Is this merry chase taking place inside a tomb or something? If so, and if your palette allows it, you might consider more muted colors, if only for atmospheric reasons.

I was thinking of making a Trilby investigator too, but went with Chzo first. Trilby would probably need some kind of either thiefy ability, or something like what the nun has in AH, preventing him from being Lost in Time and Space. (Clones!)

For Trilby, you could give him the ability not to be Delayed, or something like the hooligan's ability to never be arrested. He'd need a high sneak. Incidentally, there's some good fanart floating around for Trilby and the Tall Man that might be better than the pixelized screenshots.

    Awesome stuff, btw.
