Topics I've Started

  1. The Wait is Almost Over!

    Posted 25 Mar 2010

BREAKING ANNOUNCEMENT straight from the website itself --- Universal Orlando opens The Wizarding World of Harry Potter on June 18th! Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, movie producers David Heyman and David Barron, director David Yates, screenwriter Steve Kloves, production designer Stuart Craig and --- very, very possibly --- the Lady Rowling herself! --- are all expected to attend the world premiere opening ceremony. And you may be sure that Entertainment Tonight, the Insider, Access Hollywood, Extra, E! News with Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Rancic and TMZ will send their teams to the party as well. Stay tun'd!

  2. Blackwolf Update/How 2 Train Your Dragon Invasion!

    Posted 25 Mar 2010

Greetings, Chefelfers, from New York's Unofficial Wizard, Blackwolf the Dragonmaster! Well, since I last scribbled here, my Diary of Magecraft has blossomed to 500 entries (and counting), I've joined the ranks of Facebook (and may invade Twitter, as well), and, last December 19th, I even took an unintended voyage into the Neitherealm. There's just so many stories; I'll share them all with you as the weeks roll on.

I am, as you might expect, fired up, so to speak, re DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon, in 3-D! In fact, yesterday, America Ferrera, who stars as the voice of Astrid, was seen in Times Square aboard a huge Viking barge, with four verly rough and burly Vikings (and, fortunately, DreamWorks Co-Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg was on hand to make sure the proud warriors' weapons were properly peace-tied. One does not plunder or pillage without arousing the suspicions of New York's Finest, after all!

By the way, I'm doing the Medieval Festival at Fort Tryon Park this Sunday, October 3rd --- but this time, I will very likely be the ONLY Wizard attending. My colleague Merdwin the Mediocre has relocated to Florida, having answered the call of the goodlies at Universal Orlando, where he has been assigned the task of wandbearer for Ollivander's, as part of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Islands of Adventure!

Well, Chefelfers --- more news to share soon!

  3. More Upgrades from Master Blackwolf

    Posted 31 May 2008

    Greetings, fellow Chefelfers!

Blackwolf the Dragonmaster here, updating what I've been up to since last I said hello to you. As of this last week, my Official Rock Band, Lordi, is back in the studio, laying down the tracks they've chosen to comprise their upcoming fourth album. I myself am once more preparing to team up with Debbie D, the Brown-hair'd Mermaid for the 2008 Coney Island Mermaid Parade (Dick Zigun and his team do quite a lot to put it together; I'm sure he, too, wonders what ol' Blackwolf's been up to!).

Anyway, I've just sent Lordi an e-mail so that the Monstericans also are aware as to what I'm doing. Let's face it, SOMEONE must know what this wacky, silly Wizard is doing these days!

    More to tell you soon!

    As ever,

    Master Blackwolf

Greetings, fellow Chefelfers! Long time, no post!

Blackwolf the Dragonmaster here, as lively and as bizarre as ever, especially now, at this, my post-Triumph phase. Sunday's the Easter Parade, those of you who weren't aware; I hope you all come out there, as it is my 1st official public appearance of 2008!

I've had to return to MySpace in the intervening weeks; you can find me there at MySpace.com/AuthorizedBlackwolf ; and I now have another page too, at Dragonmaster.RenSpace.com (it's like MySpace.com, only it's for Renaissance Faire fans)!

Those of you who haven't seen the Main Pages of my Dark Chambers website, be aware that I now have an Official Rock Band as well, in the form of Finland's own national heroes/monsters-in-residence, Lordi --- who have since put together their very own horror movie that they can boast of, too. It's called Dark Floors, and, alas, you'll only be able to see it in the U.S. on DVD! (Drat!)

Still, I've not forgotten my friends here at Chelelf.com; I've been so busy, I have not had time to properly say hello! Oh yes, and I hear this site is now 4 years old! Happy belated birthday! Huzzah! and hurrah!

Well, that's that. Now you know some of what I've been up to. Now, I have to go brave that expletive deleted afternoon chill! (Aargh!) I so dislike having to sneeze in public!

Until next time, I humbly remain,

    Fearlessly yours,

    Master Blackwolf

Good morrow, fellow Chefelfers! Master Blackwolf here! The 2007 Fort Tryon Park Medieval Festival will soon be upon us (hooray!), and I want to see all of you Chefelfers there (hopefully, Chefelf himself!) Anyway, I wanted to come here and pretty much bitch about the dum-dums who bug me asking crapola about whether or not a Wizard of my stature has found Jesus. I had that happen to me yesterday at Bethesda Fountain in Central Park no fewer than four times.

Understand the following, please, goodly gentles, and I'm only saying it once: it's bad form for street performers to discuss their religious preferences while they're on the job. For one thing, there's the possibility that children may be watching; it's imperative that, as a performer, you give the kids the chance to preserve the whimsy. And for the record, I am in fact a practicing Christian Wizard.

But that was nothing compared to what happened when I was on my way home. When I boarded the A train from the 72nd Street subway station, I inadvertently stumbled on a man who had several bags about his person. (Presumably, the guy was food-shopping.) Before I could sit down properly, the train lurched, causing me to trip in a split-second. And the guy just overreacted, yelling "Fuck you!" I was clearly taken aback by the man's attitude; doubtless the incident was accidental.

Honestly there are people around this town who are constantly freaked out by my very presence. What in Merlin's name do I have to do, short of advertising, to let people know who in thunder I am around here? As always, there are those who get it about Blackwolf the Dragonmaster and those who don't. And frankly, I am sick and tired of defending my every deed for those who don't understand my adventures. What in thunder does the world want from me, anyway?

Sorry you had to read this, my friends --- there are just some days when Mage rage in all its fury can sometimes drive this foolish old goat to the point of Aargh!
