traveler's

I refuse to read further. The thing has obviously been edited for American English.

Being a parody of WoW, some American MMO, it makes some sense.

Or, more likely, the spellings will be different in each locale it is released in, and since the excerpt is for a US-centric site, they sent the American English version. At least, I hope that's the case. I hate American English. It didn't stop me from reading and enjoying it, though, and I'll probably be buying it.

What, because the people in these locales are too moronic to understand there are different varieties of English?

I have no problem reading English, and those countrymen of mine who do wont be reading it. I am getting a little sick of this, we aren't all retarded, just the ones who represent us. My more intelligent peers simply don't do anything stupid enough to get noticed in your funny little stereotypes. I have had quite enough of sitting quietly while I am judged based on the country I was born in. I'm not mad at anyone, but I would really appreciate if we kept this to a minimum.

Thanks!
I finally got my website up. Im pretty stoaked right about now.

Im not trying to seem mad, but its just kinda ridiculous to not read the excerpt because of how they spelled travelers.

Look, all I'm saying is that, as long as the text is otherwise coherent, I wouldn't expect my copy of Moby Dick to have its spelling altered just because it's published in a different country, and you shouldn't expect the same of your Brideshead Revisited. (Not that I'm comparing Mogworld to either.) I find it patronising and disrespectful to do so.

Fuck, it may have been just a typo, I mean it happens to Yahtzee too sometimes. But is it such an abhorrent Americanism to spell "travellers" with only one L?

I can see the disrespect now, I'll email Yahtzee pleading for an apology to all of Europe.

Ok, moving on, has anyone read the excerpt? If so, what were your opinions?

To me it seems interesting, but the whole MMORPG universe viewed realistically-thing could get old really fast.

I'm afraid to read it because I've got the strong suspicion that I'll only end up thinking "Yerp, looks like something he'd write." again. I hate encountering that thought.
