So I was listenin to some old Depeche mode when I (First post ever btw! Teehee hi all)
noticed! Some Similarities between Depeche mode's less hit song "Black Celebration" and the chase song from 7Days A Skeptic.
Similarities as in they are basically the same song without David Gahan singing in the background, which! In my opinion would have been far more awesome
in gamevice to give that special depeche smooth atmosphere into 7DAS. Anyway blaablablaoblaa, my question is!:
Was there already a topic about this?
Did yahtzee explain this already in 7DASspecial edition?
Can Depeche like.. Sue you now?
Can you like.. Sue those peepz who wrote the script of Pandorum?
Did I register for only to make this topic? yes!

..Oh right the song. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=vXfbnS_BybQ

Yeah, for the first two games he either took the songs from RPG Maker or found ones online that he thought sounded cool. I think 7 Days opened with a Yanni song? m0ds made the music for the last two though, so if you have any questions about those feel free to ask because he posts here sometimes.

edit: and somehow I lost what I meant to say, which is that if the Depeche Mode song and the one in the game sound incredibly similar, the one in the game is probably a .midi version of it. Whether he did that because he actually likes Depeche Mode or whether he just heard the .midi and said "oh this sounds like a creepy chase scene" is unknown though, and since he never comes here I'd doubt he'd answer.

Looking at the MIDI files themselves, there are some signatures embedded in them. The first one says "One Man's Dream by Yanni. sequenced by Gruszka@AOL.com". The third one says "Black Celebration by Depeche Mode from album of same name. Sequenced by Netherwood." The second one says only "E-mail me at : eri.airlangga@usa.net or erlange@hotmail.com", but using this I did some detective work and found the undoubtable source. It is a sequencing of Asturias, or Prelude to Chants d'Espagne, by Isaac Albéniz. So there you are, it seems Yahtzee didn't forage RPG Maker this time but went to a GeoCities repository of MIDI files and nicked the very first one in the alphabetical list.

Also, please don't say 'peepz'.

I miss Geocities. Today's websites just don't have the same soul.
