Not much Star Wars news of worth these days:

Lucas threatens live Star Wars TV show next year. I'm not going to watch it. Not even to see what it's like. Clone Wars me once. Shame on me.

C3PO actor on Star Wars concert, but no one cares. Yet, this is news.

A New Star Wars RPG Game. Ten years late for the MMPOG craze I think.

Clone Wars 3D Cartoon still going, proving if you put a Star Wars tag on a dog turd people would buy it and eat it.

Actor proud of 'Boba Fett' role.

Quote

Rarely a day goes by without someone wanting to talk to the 65-year-old actor about his most famous role. Which is even more impressive considering that, without the iconic Boba Fett mask, he wouldn't exactly stand out in a crowd. But at a packed comic convention he is royalty, the man behind one of the most-loved characters in the "Star Wars" canon and a particular favourite of series' diehards. Their neverending adoration makes him proudly embrace his place in sci-fi history and talking to "Star Wars" geeks never gets old, he said in a recent interview.

Most overhyped character, ever.

This is last one is just bizarre. The bizarrest thing about it was this guy got prime press coverage for it. What's the Internet done to us?

Yes, it is strange, but I can look back to 1998 today and wish that instead of more Star Wars George Lucas had created something new, which you might argue he did, but I wish it didn't have the Star Wars label. If only to keep the original three detached from it. No doubt out of my connection to those.

New Star Wars Live Action to be a Sitcom

This doesn't appear to be a joke:

Quote

Star Wars director George Lucas is expanding the sci-fi adventure franchise to give cult fans a laugh - he's planning an animated sitcom for TV. The filmmaker is taking a backseat to Back at the Barnyard's Todd Grimes, who will direct the comedy series for Lucasfilm. Robot Chicken creators Seth Green and Matthew Senreich will work as creative consultants on the project, while Brendan Hay of the Daily Show has signed on as head writer. According to a statement from the production company, the show will "look at the saga's characters with a playful and irreverent tone". Says Green "The 'Star Wars' universe is so dense and rich; it's crazy to think that there aren't normal, mundane everyday problems in a world so well-defined." Green goes on to say "What do these characters do when they're not overthrowing Empires?"

Well, Robot Chicken was funny, but when does satire turn into farce?
